The Change, (as was called), was, in humans, called puberty.
This, of course, was normal in any teenagers' life. But there was another change. For anyone who was bitten by a Vampire, (he or she), dies. Then, in several nights' time the afflicted would become a member of the Undead. When someone was bitten by Zombies, you'd also change. If you are bitten by a Werewolf, you're cursed to change into a wolf...and, like the other monsters, you'd go on feeding on the human race...and, in rare cases, on other members of your own monster kind. As for The Beast itself, changing into a demon is even more diabolical to the afflicted victims. Because, in the end, only an exorcism could get the demon out of the possessed victim. And, in Eliza's case, the first stage of her demonic behavioral 'change', hadn't progressed any further...But, in the end, the 'change' would begin...and, when it did, she'd spread evil all over Louisiana...And there wasn't anything anyone could do to stop it.
