Day 250

It had been two months since she had last seen Mia. Charlotte was actually waiting to see her again every day, she wanted to see her again to finally end it.

But the redhead never showed up. Nobody knew where she was. Charlotte hated this uncertainty, that she couldn't close this chapter, she hated the power Mia still had over her.

Charlotte had hoped so much to be on the road to recovery. But Mia kept her from healing completely.

Sometimes, she had the feeling that Mia was close to her. If she looked over her shoulder, she would see her there.

But she didn't want to think about her now, about the woman who had broken her heart so badly. Charlotte put on some lipstick before she left the house.

She had a date today, with none other than Sara. The bartenders had asked her out, and after everything, Charlotte didn't want to say no anymore. Mia shouldn't hold her back forever.

Day 300

Smoke drifted out of the open window. Mia looked into the distance. The lights of Londond shone in the night under the starry sky. She had messed up, she had hurt the woman she had loved so much. All because she was a fucking egotist.

Mia flicked her cigarette out of the window and when she turned round, her eyes immediately fell on the bed. It wasn't Charlotte lying there, but another mistake from her past. Deliah.

Mia had really believed that Charlotte would welcome her back with open arms. But only now did she realise what she had done.

The worst part, it was all for nothing. Her father wanted nothing to do with her. He had another family now. Charlotte had turned her back on her. Even Reece had slammed the door in her face. There was no one left.

The redhead slipped out of the house. She had stood outside Charlotte's door so many times and wanted to knock, wanted to talk to her again. But she didn't dare. Something stopped her. It was a mixture of shame and pride holding her back.

Mia walked along the street. When she used to be at such points in her life, in such dead ends. When she fell into the patterns of alcohol and petty sex with Deliah, she always returned to Reece. He gave her some stability again. But that was no longer an option.

Mia opened the door to the pub. She glanced around the room. It was Saturday and therefore very busy. But in all the people, Mia recognised her immediately. There was Charlotte. She was sitting at a table, wearing a beautiful red dress and holding a wine glass in her hand. She was joined at the table by Reece, Marjorie, Winter and, Mia's heart sank, Sara. The bartender had her arm around Charlotte.

Mia was filled with jealousy and anger and wanted to storm towards the table. When she was grabbed from behind and dragged out of the pub again. Mia slammed hard against the wall of the building. Someone immediately grabbed her collar.

" Autumn...?"

The woman looked at her gloomily with her icy eyes. "Don't you dare thinking about ruining this evening for Charlotte," she said in a dangerous voice. " You've already done enough!"

" I..."

" I don't want to hear it! Mia, fuck off!" With that, Autumn let go of her and disappeared back into the pub.

It was too late, Mia thought, she had lost Charlotte forever.
