You Found Me

Chapter 2.1: Out

         Daniel walked up to the loud beeping of his alarm. For the first time in a while he wakes up with a smile. He turns off the alarm and immediately sees a text from his boyfriend. He smiled brightly at the screen as he continued to text him as he got ready.

      The whole time on the way to school Daniel can't help but smile as he texts Nick. Finally he quickly made his way to form, wanting to see Nick as quickly as possible. As he enters the classroom his smile drops slightly as he sees Nick's seat empty.

        Until he feels a tap on his shoulder turning around to see Nick with a bright smile. Before he can register who is standing there he starts to get pulled by the hand through the hall. Nick pulls him into a room and closes the door.

        "Guess what." Nick says with a bright smile.

         "What is it?" Daniel replies looking into his eyes sweetly.

          "I came out to my mom last night." Nick says excitedly as he smiles with a twinkle in his eyes.

          "Oh my gosh! How'd it go?" Daniel asks mentally preparing for either situation.

          "She was completely fine with it." Nick pulls himself closer to Daniel.

           "Want a well-done kiss?" Daniel asks with a slight smirk.

            Nick nods before pulling Daniel in. No matter how many times they kiss it feels like
magic. Daniel can feel the sparks fly as he leans up to reach Nick.

             "Kissing at school is such a bad idea." Daniel says looking at the door as people pass in the halls.

            "You suggested it." Nick says with a smirk before they make their way back to class.

          Throughout that day the couple can barely separate themselves. When the final bell rang the two walked to Daniel's house together, their shoulders brushing the whole way.  They sat in Daniel's room as they played mario kart, Nick fighting to try to win.

       During the whole next week Daniel couldn't stop talking about Nick. He even tells his parents how we're not the most accepting. Even his friends were getting tired of hearing about him all the time.

       "You're making me feel really single." Tao says as Charlie and Daniel talk about their boyfriends.

        "We have boyfriends!" Charlie yells excitedly.

         "And they're amazing!" Daniel finishes happily.

        "We know!" Tao says with a groan.

       As they all enter the school together they hear over the intercom some of the worst news for Daniel. "I regret to inform you that year 11 study hall for GCSE starts today."

      Daniel groans and leans his head back before starting his way to study hall. As he gets inside he looks for his name on the seating chart. Of course he couldn't be lucky enough to sit next to Nick. When he found Nick's name he saw who he was sitting next to and his heart dropped out of his chest- Ben.

        Daniel took his seat by a student he didn't really know. Soon Mr.Farouk called for attention and started listing his rules in his harsh tone.

       Daniel tries to focus on studying but he can't help but focus on Nick and Ben hoping Ben's not saying anything too horrible. Thankfully Mr.Farouk noticed them talking and yelled at them to be quiet.

       Once study hall was finally over Daniel decided he wanted to rejoin the rugby team, so he quickly went to see Coach Singh. He gently knocked on the door before entering.
