Me and him have formed a chasm
And it's almost grown a mile wide
Both our faces grim
Because we're on opposite sides
At this point you gotta wonder
If we could fly
Just to make that number
Go dying down
Because I miss his smile
I wanna see it no matter the cost
I don't wanna be in denial
I wanna be in his presence and hearing his laughter
So as I look at the speck
Across the way
You can bet
He feels the same way
So we raise our arms
And lean towards the chaos
Not even alarmed
Praising this isn't a loss
Now while falling
I see our hands connect
Happiness now gnawing
Knowing this is what we both selected
So in ending of our story
Was a lesson
