I didn't want to take the bus home but I didn't have much of a choice. Tasha left at lunch due to a doctors appointment so I couldn't ask her for a lift. I didn't know if my mum was home yet so I couldn't ask her. I couldn't really walk back, it was way too far and anyway it was tipping it down once again. Admitting defeat I shuffled my way onto the bus, letting all the eager year 7's on first with the aim of one of them stealing my seat.
Getting on the bus I was met by a sea of black and a few blotches of colour. The year 7's always took the bus back for some unknown reason causing the sea of black school jumpers that faced me. Looking around my breath hitched in my throat. Sitting in the seat next to my usual one was a familiar face. Every seat on the bus was taken, apart from mine where a black rucksack sat mocking me. That has to be his. Catching his eye by accident he smirked at me. I looked down and glared at the ground, not making an attempt to go to my seat.
The bus I took to school was a public one if you haven't already guessed. As a consequence of this the head teacher saw the bus off making sure everyone, or as many pupils as possible, had a seat for the bus journey home. Normally I was fine with that, I had my seat sitting in the corner so I had no need to worry. But today was not my day. By the time the head teacher came to see the bus off there were only three of us standing. Knowing what was going happen next, I moved closer to the front of the bus hoping one of the year 7's would have to sit next to Eric as they were the closes. But like I said, today was not my day.
The head teacher was an oldish man. You know the kind, one minuet there down with the kids and the next you're questioning what century they were born in? That sums up my head teacher, greying hair, weird smile and thinks he's the bees knees.
As he entered the bus you could see his eyes roaming around the bus to find a empty seat. You could see the delight in his eyes when he spotted the empty seat next to Eric. Glancing his way I noticed the rucksack was now sitting on the floor so the seat, my seat, was empty. "ahh Billy" he said looking at me. "Would you mind taking he seat over there?" Internally cursing him I made my way over to a smirking Eric. You may wonder why I didn't 'put up a fight' and insisted that one of the year 7's took my place. Well I though I was being stupid. I thought deep down that I was just being a paranoid little girl.
Turns out I wasn't.I sat down next to Eric.
"Fancy seeing you again Billy." He said.
I looked through the window, ignoring him. As the bus set off the trees and homes in the windows blurred into one. On Mondays we always had the bus driver that hated sticking to the speed limits. Thank fully it made for a quick journey home.
"Ahh the silent treatment." Eric asked. "Bad day?"
Internally growling I turned to look at him. "Are you following me?" I whispered yelled. I'm pretty sure I didn't look the prettiest so it probably added fuel to the angry expression I wearing. I had had sports the lesson before and I was ninety present sure I was red faced and sweaty, not mentioning that my hair was sliced back in a sever pony tail."Pardon?" Eric asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Are you following me?"
"Now what would give you that idea?" He asked in a patronizing tone. I had decided around about now that I didn't think I liked this guy anymore. He sent me a look challenging me to go on.
I sent him an equally challenging glare. "The night we met." I began. " you were driving a black car, more specifically a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS, not my favorite car personally but oh well, that car had the number plate LC64 AFE." He nodded waiting for me to continue, amusement clear in his eyes. I have to admit it made me stupid, like I was being paranoid. I guess I was but I still continued. "Today we met again, you just a happened to be sitting next to 'my seat'. The seat that I sit on every day to and from school. The seat where I always sit and I have for the past five years. I shrugged it off as pure coincidence. During the bus journey you said that you were borrowing your dad's car.
