"sooooo.." vance says awkwardly. "i'm sorry for that day at the cafe.." bruce quickly dismisses it "nononono it's all good!! it was mostly my fault anyways." "still, i'm sorry" vance then gives bruce a little smile
after a while bruce and vance started talking
"so tell me about yourself" vance says eager to learn more about bruce. "uh well, i play sports. i really like baseball!" vance already knew that but he nods his head in a way telling bruce to continue. " i also played basketball for a while, i stopped because the uniform wasn't my favorite.." vance chuckles, "a uniform made you stop playing..?" bruce furrows his eyebrows slightly, "well you don't get it! the shorts were like suuuuperrrr short!" bruce then pointed at his thigh to show the length of the shorts. "see! look that's how short they were" bruce says trying to convince vance that it was a valid reason.
vance's ears slightly became red. he wouldn't have minded seeing that.. WOAH THERE. now what was he thinking, sure bruce had pretty eyes, a nice smile, and smells really goo- okay getting off topic there now.
"-ance?... vance?" vance jumped out of thought "what." he replied a little more aggressive than he meant to come off as, bruce had a worried look on his face "are you okay? do you feel well? oh em gee do we need to go to a doctor!" bruce slightly starts panicking, touching vance's face to check if anything's wrong. "no, it's alright. i'm all good" vance starts to smile seeing how cute bruce was when he's worried. bruce felt really relieved, he was scared that something was wrong.
bruce realized that vance sort of always had this mean tone to his voice, his brows were always wild and furrowed making him look more scary than he is, when he said certain things he had an accent, whenever he was flustered he got rude, he always smelled sort of like vanilla and... target? anyways bruce found it comforting analyzing and studying vance hopper.
vance was also studying bruce. bruce's hair was always perfect, everything about him was, every time a breeze of wind came by bruce's nose would slightly twitch, every time he smiled he quickly stopped and adjusted it, he had a slight tangerine smell to him. vance didn't know what it was or what he felt, but he was interested in bruce yamada.
