Liam stepped out of the bathroom, he walked briskly down the hallway towards his room, with Theo following closely. Liam began to rummage through his closet, searching for clothes that would suit Theo, his annoyance evident. After a moment, he found a couple of clothes that he thought would work. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed the clothes at Theo, who caught them with a mix of surprise and amusement. "Thanks, I guess," he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm as he turned to head back to the bathroom.
Liam sat on his bed, lost in thought about how ridiculous the earlier situation had been. Why did her mom think he was dating Theo? It was baffling, especially since he didn't even considered the possibility that they would be friends anyway. The idea that she wasn't surprised at all by the notion of him dating a guy added to his confusion. Just as he was trying to make sense of it all, Theo snapped his fingers in front of his face, pulling him back to reality.
"Hey, earth to Liam! What's going on in that head of yours?" Theo grinned, clearly amused. Liam blinked, shaking off the thoughts and realizing he needed to come up with a response that wouldn't make things even more complicated.
"Uh, just thinking about... stuff," Liam replied, trying to sound casual. But inside, he knew he'd have to figure out how to clear up the misunderstanding with her mom sooner rather than later.
Theo with a teasing tone, said, "Liam, using that brain for 'stuff'? I'm impressed, Didn't think it was possible."
Liam crossed his arms, eyeing Theo with a mix of annoyance and amusement. "You really think you're funny, huh?"
Theo grinned, leaning against the wall. "Oh, I'm hilarious! But seriously, I know you're lying. What were you really thinking about?"
Liam looked at him, surprised. "Since when do you care about what I think?"
Theo smirked mischievously. "Since your mom thinks we're dating." They both paused, sharing a look, and then Theo playfully closed his eyes and puckered his lips, pretending to go in for a kiss.
Liam's face twisted in disgust as he grabbed a pillow and threw it at Theo's face and said, "Eww, I never thought you were that annoying."
Theo leaned back and raised his brows. "I mean, everyone hates me, including you, so I thought that you already knew."
Liam rolled his eyes. "Not like that."
Theo raised an eyebrow, curious. "Like what?"
Liam smirked, "You're as annoying as a four-year-old."
Theo's eyes widened in mock disbelief. "Me, the four-year-old? You literally threw a pillow at me-"
Before he could finish, another pillow flew through the air, hitting Theo square in the face, courtesy of Liam's quick reflexes. Theo laughed, shaking his head as he picked up the pillow, ready for a playful retaliation. "Okay, okay! You want to play? Game on!"
Theo and Liam were locked in a playful battle, tossing pillows back and forth with laughter echoing through the room. Feathers flew as they dodged and weaved, their energy palpable. Eventually, they both collapsed, breathless—Theo plopping down onto the floor, while Liam sank back onto his bed, their chests rising and falling rapidly. The silence hung in the air for a moment as they tried to catch their breath.
Finally, Liam broke the quiet, his voice barely above a whisper, "I never thought I'd play pillow fight with you." After a brief pause, Theo replied, "Me neither," a grin creeping onto his face.
Liam stood up and glanced at the clock, realizing it was almost 3 AM. He turned to Theo, who was also standing, and said, "It's getting pretty late.""Right, we should sleep now," Theo replied, his tone a bit more serious.
Liam nodded and said, "Yeah, follow me. We have a guest room."
