Chapter 15

Ran's POV

It's Chris...he's...using magic? I honestly don't know. Wait a minute he's creating this green gas...I think it's stank.

Could he be the sorcerer? But that would mean...he escaped.

**Time skip to after school, in the sewers**

"I think Chris is the sorcerer." I say.

"What does he look like?" Con asks.

"Black hair...brown eyes...short-" I start, but get cut off by En.

"It's him." He says.

"How do you know?" Randy asks.

"Because he is my- was, my brother." En says.

"He's a Norisu?" I ask.

"Technically, yes. That's why we can't kill him. When the nine of us became ninjas, we swore an oath that we wouldn't kill family." Con says.

"So all we have to do is trap him back in that giant hole?" Howard asks.

"Yeah, but when?" Randy asks.

"If he were to go to the bonfire, he would possess all of the students." I say.

"So before the bonfire?" Plop plop asks.

"Look who's getting all smart." Howard says.

"Well look at you." Plop plop says.

"Good point." Howard says. And they both start laughing.

"So...when are we going to battle the sorcerer?" Randy asks

"The day of the bonfire, after school, we'll have three hours till the bonfire." I say.

"And we'll be ready by then." Con says.

So now we have our plan...finally!

Randy's POV **The next day at school**

Chris...the sorcerer. I knew he was bad, but I never expected him to be the sorcerer.

I mean seriously! How can a teenager be the sorcerer? Well it's possible, considering Amanda was the sorcereress. I guess he's immortal.

So I'm walking to the lunch room and just when I'm about to go in I see a poster.

'Want to perform at the bonfire? Do you have a band? Then come to the band tryouts! This Tuesday after school!'

Maybe 30 seconds to math could perform? Me and Howard...and Ran if she wants too.

I walk into the cafeteria, buy my food, and sit down with Ran and Howard.

"So I was thinking, there's band tryouts for the bonfire, and I was wondering if 30 seconds to math should try out?" I ask.

"What the juice is 30 seconds to math?" Ran asks.

"It's me and Howard's band." I explain.

"Yeah, sure, why not? But we need a singer." Howard says.

"I'll sing." I say.

Ran...sing? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. So funny that me and Howard start laughing.

"I can sing!" Ran says.

"Prove it!" Howard says, still laughing.

Ran's POV

I can sing! What they think I can't? Oh I'll prove them wrong...

"Name a song." I say.

"Heaven in our headlights by Hedley." Randy says.

"You got it." I say. "Can I get some music?"
