(Mackenzie)
After my sight returned I could see Ava leading me away. "We need to get away, FAST!" she yells to everyone. I feel the adrenaline course through my body. I was suppressing my instinct to fly. Effective yes but I can't leave Aster and Zora behind. The wind rushes through my face. My legs are moving faster than they ever have.
Something catches my eye. An abandoned shipping container. "There!" I point at the container. We all rush in. Oakley closes the container behind us. The sound of heavy breathing echoed around that dark tin space. The space was illuminated by the soft glow of halos. Crates were sparsely populated the floor.
(Aster)
I slump down against the container. I lean my head back and close my eyes, I breathe in deeply and sigh. I hear someone sit down next to me. A beautiful voice greets my ear "Are you okay?". I look at Oakley and reassuringly say "Yeah. I'm fine". Oakley looks at me with a curious expression.
"There's just something I don't understand. Why were you possessed?"
I bite my lip. Don't panic, don't panic. He doesn't know. I shrug as convincingly as I can. "I don't know"
He frowns.
The ground starts shaking. Mackenzie yells, "I thought this thing was abandoned!'
"Well obviously not anymore!" I responded. I can feel my feet lifted off the ground as the container is moved.
I frantically reach for the nearest secure object. I latch arms around a crate. The container lurched and Oakley fell over and landed in my arms. I stare into his eyes. I'm so happy no one can see me blush with my pink skin.
He shoots up and looks away. I can't help but stare at him. He glances at me, I frantically look away. Stupid, Aster, that was so creepy.
