Not enough conflict of interest

"I just don't get why you were acting so bratty." Keith crossed his arms, still questioning my behaviour towards him and the galra stranger we met earlier.

To be completely honest, neither of us knew what came over me. "Bratty, Kogane? Really?"

"Yes, really."

"I was being cautious."

He glared at me with more confusion than anger, and his brow furrowed. "No, you were giving me shit for no reason."

My mind recalled when he had suddenly grabbed my hand, and we leaped to possible doom. Despite having landed in the acid immediately, his hand didn't leave mine for minutes too long. The feeling of his warm fingers untangling from mine to go help her, foolish and irrelevant as it was, repeatedly played in my head anyways. I cleared my throat, mentally chiding myself for thinking so selfishly and not understanding why.

"You had nothing to do with it. Get over yourself emo boy."

As he does every time I call him that, he reddened a little, and looked away from my returning glare. He noticed Hunk indiscreetly watching us go back and forth like a tennis match, while also studying Keith closely.

"Are you trying to see if my skin is purple?" questioned the red paladin incredulously.

Hunk turned away quickly. "No."

The yellow lion's computer started beeping, thankfully putting an end to our thoughtless banter.

"Hunk, Riley, Keith, are you there? Can you hear me?" Allura's voice rang through.

"We're here. What's going on?" Keith asked.

"You must return to the castle! I need you!"

We exchanged worried glances. "We're on our way." As we sped towards the castle, we waited for Allura to get to Lance, Pidge and Shiro as well before explaining what happened.

"That monster that attacked us on the Balmera before has returned!" she finally announces.

"What?!" We exclaimed at once.

"I need you back here immediately."

Keith, fully alert now, leaned on Hunk's chair as he asked, "How did we beat it last time?"

Hunk explained, "We formed Voltron, then I stuck in my Bayard and shot it with my blaster right in its arm lasers. But that didn't stop it so then we had to punch it.

"So we're gonna need Voltron," Shiro concluded. We had now arrived at the scene, and the monster, much more terrifying up close as I had never seen it from the point of view of a lion, was in the middle of creating chaos on the poor Balmera.

"But you only have two lions," I pointed out.

"Well, maybe we can form the legs and kick it?" Lance suggested.

Shiro continued thoughtfully, "That new laser is much more powerful. We're definitely gonna need all the lions. Hunk, you distract it so we can fly into the castle. Once we get our lions out, we'll cover you so you can fly Keith in for Red."

Hunk froze. "Wait, wait, wait. I have to hold that thing off by myself?"

"You have Keith and Riley," Pidge reminded teasingly.

"Yeah, but they're in there with me!"

The others took off, leaving Hunk to fend for himself

"Bank left! Barrel roll! Nose dive!" yelled Keith intensely.
