CHAPTER 1 the blessing
112 AC

Anyelis Dayne, the daughter of Criston Cole, an honorable, loyal knight. And Mircilla Dayne, a dornish woman of sand, a liar and snake.

The thunder, loud, hitting against the windows. Blood gushing out of lady Mircilla Dayne, the screams filling the halls. "Get it out of me!" She cried out, sweating dripping down her face to her neck.

"We are trying m'lady." A handmaiden said. Another blood curdling scream was let out.

"I said get it out of me!" She yelled out once again.

"One more push, one more push." The handmaiden responded, one more push.

The last push. She grunted, screaming with agony. After 2 days in labour, the babe was finally out.

The monster was born.

"She's here. She's healthy m'lady." Another Handmaiden said softly, looking at the solemn babe.

Mircilla had disgust painted on her face. One glance at the girl was enough to make her vomit.

"Get that monster away from me." She said coldly.

"M'lady, this is your child, you must want to see her." A handmaiden tried to reason with her.

"I said get her away from me!" She yelled out, her eyes looking as if they were going to shoot out.

"As you wish. M'lady." She said shortly after a moment of silence.

The handmaidens rushed out the room, cradling the babe carefully in their arms. "Take her to the queen." A maiden said to another, she nodded, rushing to the queen's chambers.

"My queen, the babe."

"What of the babe?" Alicent questioned, her eyebrows rising slightly.

"Mircilla Dayne's babe, she is healthy."

"That is good. But why isn't the babe with her mother?" Alicent questioned further.

"She doesn't want her." The handmaiden spoke truthfully.

Alicent let out a shaky, short sigh. "Hand her to me."

The maiden handed her the babe.

She had dark brown hair, covering the top of her head. Lightly tanned skin, and was very small. Her eyes opened slightly, her big brown eyes, over-shining all of the other features she is soon to have.

"Does she have any relatives that are willing to look after her in Dorne?"

"Yes your grace, I believe The lady Nisha Sand and Orman Dayne are willing to take her in."

"Here, send letter to them and once they respond, and agree, she will be with family." Alicent said softly, looking at the babe, kissing her head softly.

Anyelis Dayne was now 7 and 10 years of age.
Her hair curled and short, a dark brown. Her skin more tanned, slim, her eyes a bit lighter shade of brown.

"Grandmother, if I am to go meet those people I must be dressed nicely." Anyelis said, walking over to the older women

"Yes my dear, do not worry your little head about this. It will be alright."

"I do hope so."

"Now go get dressed and meet in the carriage, we will be waiting for you."

She nodded, rushing to her room and packing dresses ans other necessities she needed.

She ran outside the door, wearing a blue dress with white stripes decorating it. And a matching head piece to go with it.

"I am here now." She smiled

"Good, get in." Her grandfather said.

It took at least 2 days to arrive in King's Landing.

"Go on, get out and go introduce yourself, my dear."

She nodded, smiling slightly.

She stepped out, handing her bags to Ser Darien Grey, one of the guards her grandfather put in her service.

She stood there for a moment, watching as the carriage rode away. Taking in the atmosphere, looking over shoulder, she saw the queen with her family, standing there waiting for her.

She steadily walked over to them.

She did a curtsy, bowing her head, "Your grace." She said, standing up straightly.

"Anyelis, how wonderful it is to see you again." Alicent said, smiling at her.

"It is great to see you as well." Anyelis replied, her smile mirroring the queen's.

"May I introduce my children." She started, "This is my eldest, Aegon, and his twin brother, Aeron."

Anyelis bowed her head to both of them, keeping a smile on her face.

"This is my daughter, Helaena, and my son Aemond."

The two stood quietly, Aemond giving her a small head nod and Helaena smiling briefly at her.

"It is wonderful to meet you all." She said shortly after the introduction.

"Ser Criston will take you to your chambers." Alicent spoke

Anyelis nodded, looking at Ser Criston.

"My lady." He said

"Ser Criston." She smiled at him.

He led her into the castle. Walking up the stairs, leading her up to her room.

"Thank you Ser Criston, I appreciate your help." She said, still smiling.

He simply nodded, smiling slightly at her.
