25 years have passed since then, two young men in their early 20s are waiting under a shed to save themselves from getting wet. They were returning from college.
Dev : Jaldi ghar jana tha par eh barish ruke toh. Kya yaar!!!
Ravi : Are ruk jayega, thoda sabar karle.
Suddenly both of them saw a girl coming running under the shed. She was quite drenched in rain. She stood the and started drying her long hair. Some droplets of water fell on Dev's face. He smelled a similar smell but he didn't think much. Soon their bus came, so Both of them left. Dev once again saw the girl from the hazy window. She seems to be the same age as him. Dev feels like he has seen her somewhere but he can't remember. Soon the bus started and they left from there.
Ravi : Kya Soch raha hain tu?
Dev : Uss ladki ke bare mein....
Ravi : Pasand aa gayi kya woh tujhe, bol bol...
He started teasing Dev.
Dev : Kya hum uss ladki ko pehchante the?
Ravi : Maine toh pehli bar dekha usko, par tera pata nahi hain mujhe..
Dev : Chup kar yaar, tujhe bas mazak sujhta hain. Jyada bakwas karega na toh Teri sari pol main jethima ke samne khol dunga. Phir dekhna tu, kya hota hain tere saath...
Ravi : Kya yaar tu toh gussa ho gaya. Are chal Ghar ane hi wala hain.
Both of them got down and went to their house, Mallik Sadan.
Dev Mallik : 21 years old, college student. He is the only son of Mukundo Mallik.
Ravi Mallik : 21 years old, college student. He is the youngest son of Mukutmani Mallik. Mukutmani is the head of the family and older brother of Mukundo.
The Mallik family is a well known family of Roypur. They have a big family business of import and export of Garments. Both brothers Mukutmani and Mukundo Mallik run the business.
As soon as they entered inside two ladies one in her early 50's and another in her late 40's came running towards them.
Kaveri : Dekho kitne bhig gaye hai dono bache.
Sandhya : Barish rukne Tak ruk nahi sakte the?
Ravi : Aapke hi bete ko jaldi thik ghar ane ki, mujhe mat boliye kuch.
Sandhya came to him and started drying his hair with her pallu.
Sandhya : Mujhe pata hain Ravi, esa nalayak toh mera beta hi ho sakta hain.
Kaveri : Khabardar agar koi mere bache ko kuch kahe toh. Aur kab tak khada rehta wohape? Ache huya tum dono chale aye.
Kaveri was drying Dev's hair.
Kaveri Mallik : Mother of Ravi and wife of Mukutmani Mallik. She is in her early 50's. She has two children. Pritha who is already married is the eldest and Ravi.
Sandhya Mallik : Mother of Dev and wife of Mukundo Mallik. Dev is her only child. She is in her Late 40's.
Kaveri : Oo chaya dono bacho ke liye garam dudh leke aao.
Chaya : E lijike Malkin.
Kaveri gave the glasses to both of them and they drank it. Ravi and Dev went to their rooms.
