Vegas helped Pete lie down again. "Go to sleep. I'll keep you company."

****

Pete nodded and tried to go back to sleep. Somehow, Vegas's pheromones, usually cold, were now warm. It was as if all the coldness and fear Pete had felt before were suddenly meaningless.

Added to that was the soft caress that Pete got on the top of his head.

"You're not the only one who's scared, Pete." Vegas' voice sounded so soft and gentle.

Pete thought how beautiful Vegas's voice was, even if it was a bit cold. Pete thought If Vegas was a little friendlier, his voice would be pleasant to hear more often, especially when it was low-pitched like before. It made Pete fall deeper into his comfortable sleep.

Pete ignored the fact that he didn't quite understand what Vegas meant. He didn't know what Vegas was scared of, or why he was doing all this.

What Pete did know was that what he understood about this world was like a drop in the ocean.

Just reading and watching doesn't mean you understand all aspects of a whole other world.

Even so, Pete was too tired to think much. Not to mention his body felt beaten up by fatigue. He had been training with the Porsche for quite some time and Pete's energy needed to be recharged.

Pete fell into a deep sleep, and dreamed of...

Something unclear?

All Pete knew was that he was in a foggy place.

One would think that someone is burning down houses around here, because of the amount of smoke.

However, ...

"Phi Pete, what are you doing?"

The voice gave Pete a sense of déjà vu, like when he first arrived in this novel world. He looked around quickly, even causing his neck to feel a little sore. The atmosphere was almost the same as when he first came, but not quite

Because the figures in front of him look quite young,

It felt like Pete was dreaming and seeing a time when Pete and Rosella were little. They were playing on the same mountain he had seen when he entered Pete's body. That seemed to be the right description for all of this.

So, now that I'm in the adult Pete's body, I'm seeing Pete's childhood. Is this really a dream or am I just going back in time? Thought Pete.

Pete was really confused about all of this, but he believed that it could happen. What else could be more supernatural then what Pete had already experienced, he died in the previous world and was reincarnated as a novel character.

So, when Rosella and Pete were little, they were close too, huh?

They were only one year apart, so they grew up together. As told in the novel, Pete always put his sister first above all else. Even as an adult, Pete tried to save Rosella who was locked up by the Emperor of Vegas. Until Pete had to bear the death sentence given to him by the Emperor of Vegas.

"Phi Pete, let's go to the palace to meet Pa," Rosella suddenly invited Pete.

His bowl-style hair moved as little Pete shook his head. "Even if Dad doesn't forbid us to go there, the bodyguards will definitely chase us away."

"No way. Yesterday I met a handsome person there, I want to meet him again."

This girl has been naughty since she was little.
