November 4th 2024 Entry 4
Today is another sunny day upon Brisbane, but not for me. I kinda messed up a little bit. I forgot that Winton, though in our group is not actually assigned a role. I was trying to think about what role he should play. It felt like eons because I couldn't find a good role for him to make him actually take part with my cause and not feel like a useless being. That's until one day when Judo came up to me. She spoke about the plan of working for the Ms. Pugley, the richest dog in the street and how she's concern that I might be doing this alone. I eventually remembered that Winton didn't have a role! I responded to her by saying that Winton will actually go with me to work with her. We both agreed and so we called Winton. He picked up and although he was reluctant at first, he agreed. I decided to ask my dad if my friend Winton and I could work with Ms. Pugley. He was even more reluctant because of his view on her as a mean old dog. I wouldn't blame him because he was being hit multiple times. Dad eventually let me work at her place but only under his strict supervision. Speaking of dad, he finished the tree house. A plain wooden box seemingly held together by a few nails and hot glue. We're lucky he added one more nail because it looked like it was gonna fall apart.
Today, I'm gonna go to one of my first Council meetings because surprisingly, I won! Anyways, the council is gonna decide what to do to change the school under principle vision. This is where my big plan starts. This December, there'll be a big tournament in the district called the annual Cricket games! There are sign ups to join the Cricket team here in James Cook. I decided to tell Rusty about the annual Cricket games and he was booming with excitement and immense determination. This is because of that kid that had defeated his brother during one of the Cricket games, Dane James. Oh, I imagine that he's really determined to get back at Yeller and Dane with that face of his. Mackenzie and Jack also found it extremely exciting. Judo was also really excited because she was the leader of her cheerleading class in one of her periods. She was gonna put her days of cheerleading practice in motion in front of the whole district. Pretzel and Winton were not too excited. Although we were a pretty chill group, Pretzel and Winton barely even know each other that much and so they usually disagree with each other. This leads to fights and even when they are at their most calmest, they usually tease each other with insults I would rather not speak of. This doesn't help the fact that Winton is not that fit and that Pretzel doesn't even know how to play Cricket well! The reason I'm mentioning them is because I told the group that I'm planning to come up with the Idea to host the games here in James Cook. The cool thing is that this year, the stadium where the games take place was unfortunately demolished due to budget reasons meaning that the district now has to choose a school to set up the games. The district decided make a deal with the schools and that if they gave the district the most money, they'll be able to host the games there and have the good enough budget to even set up the games. Jack thought that Pretzel and Winton need some work. After all their fighting, they need to do something to bring them together and to maybe stop their conflict just so they could be more tolerable. Don't forget they weren't good at sports nor at gym. Rusty decided to tell the boys that they should try joining the team. The two weren't keen on the idea. Fortunately, I was able to convince them by telling them how annoying they are and that if they don't change their ways, they're out of our team! They eventually agreed but on the promise that after school, Rusty and his friends will help them. We all agreed and the boys eventually got into the club. I don't know when the festival should take place but they should probably get their act together and maybe practice with Rusty until December. I'll be starting work with Ms. Pugley on Friday. If you're wondering, I indeed going to work with her for the rest of the school year. That fact alone was what made it hard for me to convince dad. That's all I have to say and until then, goodbye fellow dogs!Christine finished writing the last few words before being called into the council room by Principal Akita. Christine walked into the office to find only 3 dogs being the Principal and the two other members. The two she knew were Venus and Ralph. "Hey Christine! Take a seat before we get started!" Venus said calmly. Ralph was seemingly already brainstorming some ideas by writing on a piece of paper while Akita went out to get some donuts. Christine walked over to her seat next to Ralph before sitting down.
"Alright, so you're the new member! Glad to meet you! Maybe we should start on how this place works out." Venus said. Christine listened in closely to what the Afghan hound was gonna say.
"So to start, this is the room where we plan for what we should do next for this school. We really have to be careful around our plans because we are on very thought budget where we almost use the budget just to keep this school running and not for the good stuff! So usually the smartest one here, Ralph brainstorms the ideas! I usually try and maybe try to choose the best one. I try thinking of ways to make sure it goes with our current budget, then we go to Akita for approval! Usually the planning is just for trying to improve the school but that's just changing the rules and not even giving kids a better time because of the lack of our supervisors since they left because of our budget. You're assigned to be the person who could alter the concept of some of our plans either because of budget or scale!" Christine heard Venus' words and so she agreed. Ralph immediately interrupted their conversation. He held up a paper showing his brainstorming which led to a certain idea Christine had in her mind.
"How about we put up a festival for the Holidays this December! Hey, maybe we should host the Cricket game there! He said. Venus walked over and looked at the paper. "No, too much of a budget but a good idea. Also don't forget the people behind the entire tournament are greedy because they made the price way too high just for a Cricket game!" Venus replied. Christine immediately remembered her plan and jumped in. "Hey! Now I know we don't have the budget but I need to tell you something. I was actually gonna work for Ms. Pugley! She's the richest elder in this street and I do think if I work for her for a few weeks, we might just have the budget to get the people behind the games to host it here and maybe we should make the ticket cost higher than usual. Probably around 8 dollars if we could even get the money to get our supervisors back!" Venus and Ralph stood there thinking before responding back to the Heeler. "Well Christine, it seems you do have an idea with what you're doing! But Ms. Pugley seems to be a really cranky lady! Are you sure she'll even give you the money?" Ralph asked. Christine gave him a look of uncertainty before responding, "I do hope so, but it's worth a shot!" Christine said. Venus stood for another few seconds before walking to the Heeler. "Christine, you have to be careful around Ms. Pugley. And promise that while we don't tell Ms. Akita, you work hard for the pug to get enough money okay?" Venus asked. Christine nodded before the bell rang which meant they had to leave.
