It was sunny afternoon. The sun was starting to go down with school out for the day. Everyone was gonna relax, except for Christine and Winton who are gonna work together to get their fair share of earnings from Mrs. Pugley. Christine walked out of the gate with a steady breath. Winton was walking along with her. All of a sudden, Mackenzie ran up to the two.
"Hey Christine, you be careful around Mrs. Pugley because she's a mean one!" Mackenzie warned. Christine shrugged it off. "Don't worry! Mrs. Pugley just needs some help that's all!" Mackenzie sighed before giving her a concerned look. "Good luck..." He said before walking off.
"Mackenzie seems to be so much down in the dumps lately!" Winton stated.
"By lately you mean right now. I don't even know what you mean by so much if down in the dumps mean the same thing." Christine said.
"I don't know..." Winton replied.
Bandit called the dogs over to pick them up.
The two got into the car before it drove off.
A few moments later...
Bobo pulled up at Mrs. Pugley's household.
Everyone walked out of the car. Bandit guided the kids before he walked up the steps to the house before knocking on the door. An old Pug walked out. She had a short stumpy body with the fact that the children were taller than her.
"Hey! Watch on that door! You two are gonna rake and mow the lawn! You big one, teach them how to use the lawn mower!" The pug said.
"Ooh... She's really mean!" Winton said.
Christine frowned before nodding to Winton.
"Okay Ms. Pugley. But you have to pay us well!" Bandit replied. "Oh! You really think I'm giving my well earned money from my career on to your useless funding? Maybe, but only when I feel satisfied! Now work!" Ms. Pugley exclaimed.
They all sighed before walking off to the lawn where Bandit grabbed the lawn mower.

Throwing around while mowing.

Christine and the rest walked to the mower.
Bandit crouched down to show them how to operate the mower. "So kids, you hold one side of this lawn mower, then you grab this recoil. You pull this recoil to start up the machine. Keep pulling until you feel any resistance. The machine will start. Christine, rake the lawn. Winton, help me with mowing." Bandit instructed. Christine nodded before walking to the rake to grab. She started raking the leaves falling from the trees.
"I'll go first then you go okay?" Bandit said.
Winton agreed before the dad took the handles and steered his way through the lab. Christine was still raking but unfortunately, one of the leaves swept out of direction and right in front of Bandit's direction. The lawnmower ran over the leaf which could've done no damage but the machine was old and rusted. The machine started to spark and smoke. The blades started moving faster and uncontrollably which forced Bandit to get out. "Kids! Run!" He shouted. Winton and Christine ran quickly to Bandit before the Machine flew everywhere. It flew around the lawn nearly missing the flowers, throwing soil and grass around. Miss Pugley came out to see a horrifying site. She screamed so loudly that one of her windows cracked. The three turned around before seeing the old pug fuming with anger.
"YOU! HOW COULD YOU BE SO RECKLESS?
HOW ABOUT YOU LEAVE NOW BEFORE I WHIP OUT MY PURSE!" She screamed.
Bandit and Winton cowered away while Christine stepped up to her. "Ms. Pugley. I do think you're correct, but please give us one more chance because that machine was old and we weren't prepared. We never knew nor did we know the signs. Please." Christine asked. "No I won't, unless you even have a spare lawnmower, you're out of luck kid." The pug replied. "Wait, I remember. I actually have two Lawnmowers, one was a replacement but it was pretty recent so the old one might be a good fit." Winton exclaimed.
Christine smiled, "Yes, a good idea! Ask your mum right away Winton, your house is near!" Winton ran back to his house. Ms Pugley stomped back into her house while Bandit and Christine sat down on a bench near Ms. Pugley's house waiting for Winton.
Bandit and Christine laid there in the wind. That's until Winton ran back to them with a lawnmower in hand. The lawnmower was already on. "Winton! What are you doing?!" Christine screamed. "Getting the job done!" Winton shouted. He turned to his left before running into the lawn to mow it. He nearly missed a few flowers but he was able to mow the entire lawn.
Winton crashed his lawnmower into a fence.
He got up and knocked on Ms. Pugley's door.
Ms. Pugley walked out to see a well trimmed lawn. "Hmm, Looks good enough. Rake the lawn now." She said in a calmer tone than last time.
The group didn't hesitate and so they went back to work.

A special reward.

Christine and the group finished working with the rakes. They knocked on the door to see Ms. Pugley. When the door opened, they were surprised to see a stack of money that's worth 100. "Wow! You really think we did a good job?" Christine asked. Ms. Pugley sighed before she responded. "Well, it's serviceable enough. Take this and come back tomorrow." Everyone was confused. "Ms. Pugley, you really want us to take this?" Bandit asked. Christine tapped Bandit.
"Well, you remind me of someone who used to do such an amazing job on this lawn. It made me a bit happy so I'll give you this just because of that." The pug said. "Well, thanks." Winton said.
The three walked back to their car, cheering in glee while the pug watched with a few fleeting second of glee too.
