Change Is Nature

Change is a big word to people

It has a negative connotation to it

Some people hear it and fear it

I feared it for a long time

I thought change meant you did something wrong

Or your actions didn't favor God in anyway

I always believed change was bad

I experienced a huge negative change

In my father's passing

I couldn't rely on Superman anymore

And at a time when a big change was on the way

I was going off on my own to college

High school was in the rearview mirror

I was scared and I felt like I couldn't move

But I learned over time that change can be good

I got the opportunity of a lifetime

To make a name for myself in the world

And carry my family to the top of the mountain

Just like they have done for me all of my life

I've lost friends and other things I valued

Because I listened to God's plan for me

God knows what is best for me

And he is the most wise and knowledgeable

And he taught me a very important lesson
