Myles pov
She was rushed into the emergency room. I held onto her hand and didn't let go even when the doctor asked me to leave. It took three security guards to get me out of the room. I still didn't cooperate with anyone. But now we wait in the café down the hall from Justice's room. Honey ordered something for me to eat, I haven't touched it, I've just stared at it.
"Who are the people her with Justice?" Asks a doctor from behind me. I quickly get up and in two strides I'm in front of him. He waits until Wasabi and Honey are near before he starts talking.
"So Myles?" "Yes." "I don't think you should hear what I'm about to say...so I think you should go sit down." "No. I need to know if she's OK. Is she?" "The one thing about this job is telling people the bad news, and people sometimes go crazy because of the news sometimes. And I know that you love her a lot so I don't want you to go crazy so-" "so she's dead." I say tears down my face. He sighs. "No. The blood that we gave he early this morning somehow wasn't a match and she has a bad reaction to it and we also missed a bullet so she's in surgery again." He pauses. "And if the surgery doesn't work...she could die." I sigh and drop to my knees. Wasabi and the doctor walk into the hallway to talk more. Honey sits down next to me and hugs me.
"She'll be fine. She's a fighter...like you." She says. I nod and cry. I don't know what I'll do without her. At lest last time she left I knew she wasn't dead and I knew I could find her. This time I can't. All I can do now is hope for the best.
It's been about four hours since we he'd talked to the doctor, and I'm pretty sure the surgery is over when the doctor comes back out. I haven't moved since I fell to the floor when he told me that she could die in the surgery.
"Um...well I have good news and bad news." He says approaching us on the floor. I look up at him like I'm a little kid again. He knows I've been crying. "Good news first?" He asks. I nod.
"OK. She is fine. She is awake, she is still recovering also she is..." his voice trails off. "What? What is it?" Asks Honey franticly.
"Um...there is still the possibility of her dying because of the wrong blood she had-" "can I see her?" I ask sounding like a child. "Uh? Yes, yes you can...but she's still asleep." I get up and follow the doctor to her room.
"I'll leave you alone." He shuts the door behind him as he leaves.
She lays on her back with the sheets to her neck. Pail skin. Her eyes closed. Tubes in her arms connecting to big weird machines. Tubes in her nose. I sigh and stand next to her. Tears run down my face as I brush my fingers down her cheek. As I do her eyes flutter open. She smiles.
"Oh Justice" I say holding her face in my hand. "M...my...Myles" she stutters. "K...k...kiss...k...iss?" She asks with a big smile creeping across her face. I nod before I kiss her. "D...do...it...a...gain" she says grabbing my hand pulling me closer. I do.
When I pull back she notices Wasabi and Honey. "H...hey..." she says trying to smile. "Hi. How are you?" Asks Honey walking around the other side of the bed with Wasabi following her. "I...I'm g...ood... b...but...c...can you...g...get the...d...doct..." her voice trails off and the machines start beeping as her yes close. Wasabi run out of the room and yells for a doctor.
I start to cry again. "Come on. Please. Justice. Please don't leave me." I repeat. The doctor comes in with other doctors following him. The ask me to get out but I stay next to her and scream "No I'm not leaving her again," at them.
Then the security guard comes in but I kick him in the chest. Two more come in. It takes all three of them to drag me out of there. And by all the grunting they did I'm guessing it was a struggle.
