Classes finally started. They made a fake script just for practice. It was a "love story". I had my script and had to do lines. Skylar was watching from a small distance. "Tyler, you have to know that I really do love you. I've always loved you. I want you to believe that. You know everything about me and you remember everything I say and that's what I love most about you. If you really love me, you'll say so." I did half the lines and the crew was clapping and I bowed and laughed. I thought to myself that it was aimed at Skylar. "Good job, Jackson." Dr. Layton told me. "Thanks." I said. "Yeah, good job." Skylar said coming up to me. "Thanks." I looked up at him since he's a little bit taller. "I'm sorry about last night. I had to help come set up with the rest of these guys." He said. "I told you. It's fine. You're a mentor. It's what you do." I told him and he chuckled.
Kayla: I'm coming tonight, bitch! I can't wait to see you!!
I gasped and jumped. "Oh my gosh!" "What?" Skylar asked. "My best friend Kayla since I was 10 is coming here. Tonight!" I said excitedly. "That's great. We should all do something. But if you wanna spend time with her alone, I will gladly let you do so." "No, no, no. I want you to hang out with us." I said and he smiled. "Okay." "Okay." I said.
Lexi: Skylar's gonna hang out with us!
Kayla: Fuck yeah!
Skylar had something to do at the school and I went to go meet Kayla at the airport. I saw her in a distance. "K!" I called out and she saw me and came running and pulling me into a hug. "Ah! I missed you so much!" She said. "I missed you more." I said. "Where's your man?" She asked. "He's busy with something but he's coming to my apartment and we're gonna go tour New York again! Times Square and Central Park and I asked him to go the planetarium again and he agreed. Kayla, it's so beautiful there." I told her. "I'm so happy for you. You're living your dream life. Fuck all those bitches who said you wouldn't make it out here." She told me and I laughed.\ "Also, we're not exactly dating." "So what?" She asked and I laughed.
We got her settled in the other bedroom. I heard knocking and I gasped knowing it was Skylar. "Hi." "Hey." He said. "Are you guys ready?" He asked. "Kayla's just about done." I said and she came out. "Hi. Kayla Vince. It's so nice to meet you." She said. "Likewise." Skylar said. "Let's go." I said. We walked in the planetarium and Kayla gasped. "Lex, you were right. It's so beautiful in here." She said. "What, did you think I was lying?" I asked and Skylar chuckled.
We were touring the rest of the city. I saw a little pie stand. I took one and grabbed the whip with my finger. "You have got to try this!" I told Skylar and he took some. "Mm! That is good." He said. "New York City, baby!" Kayla exclaimed and I laughed. We went to check out the Brooklyn bridge too. "What a big ass bridge." Kayla said looking up at it. "Look! Dumbo lofts." I pointed out. "Yeah. Good view." Skylar said. "So much better than San Diego!" I said. "Right?" Kayla agreed. "I never wanna leave!" She said and I laughed more. "Your friends a little coo-coo." Skylar said jokingly. "That's what makes Kayla Kayla. She's crazy and that's what I love about her." I said.
She got pretty drunk so we took her back to my apartment. I was on the balcony with my telescope looking at the sky. "Can I see?" Skylar asked. "Go right ahead." I said. "Wow. Now I see why you love this so much. It's beautiful." He said. "The sun too. I love it during the day as well." I said. "Well, you're the sun to me." He added. I just smiled at him because I had a slight feeling he was only flirting because he was drunk. I looked through the telescope again.
He tried kissing me again... "Lex!!" Kayla called out and I sighed. "I should probably go help her." I said. "What, K? Do you need something?" I asked. "Bucket." She spoke. I gave it to her, and she started throwing up. I rubbed her back. "That's it. Let it all out." I said. I gave her water. She lied back down before falling asleep. "She sleeping?" Skylar asked as I stepped back out. "Yep. Out like a light." I said. I was pretty drunk myself to be honest, but I didn't drink as much as Kayla did. Finally, he kissed me.
I woke up and Skylar woke up too. He groaned holding his head. "I am hungover." He said and I chuckled. "What time is it?" I asked and he reached for his phone. "7:00." He said. "Oh." I went to check on Kayla. I got coffee for us and headed back to my room. "Thank you." He said. "My head hurts." I said and he chuckled. "Doesn't everyone's head in this apartment hurt?" "Definitely." I told him. "I'll go make something. Kayla's going to be grumpy if she's hungover and doesn't see food." I said and he chuckled. "I'll cook." "Okay..." I said.
"Morning, sunshine. I made eggs and very strong coffee for you. The best hangover cure." Skylar said to Kayla as he was in the kitchen literally shirtless. "Thanks." She said. "Did I do anything stupid last night?" She asked me. "You jokingly said you were gonna jump off the Brooklyn bridge and someone called the cops and we had to leave." I said and laughed. She groaned in embarrassment. "We all have our drunken embarrassing times." Skylar said. "Not Lexi." Kayla told him and he shrugged his eyebrows at me. "I never get drunk enough to do anything stupid. K's the rebellious one in our friendship." I told him and chuckled. "Well, we're going out tonight. We all need our moments at some point." He told me. "Okay."
