Jungkook took a deep breath before knocking on Eunwoo's door. His heart pounded in his chest as he prepared to apologize for his actions. The weight of his guilt had been heavy on his shoulders, and he knew he needed to make things right.
Eunwoo opened the door, bruises covering his face. "Jungkook?" He looked surprised and cautious. "Uh-- come on in." He said stepping aside to let him in.
Jungkook quietly stepped into the familiar living room. His gaze fell on Yugyeom, who was already there and nodded understandingly. Jungkook took another deep breath before speaking, "I am sorry Woo. I shouldn't have done that. It was completely out of line, and I'm really sorry."
Eunwoo's eyes softened, though there was still a hint of hurt in them. "I appreciate that, Jungkook. It really did come out of nowhere. What happened?"
Jungkook felt a lump forming in his throat as he tried to find the right words. "I've been going through a lot these past few days," he began, his voice trembling slightly as he narrated everything that had happened. From avoiding Taehyung to how he was struggling with his feelings. Yugyeom and Eunwoo exchanged glances, their expressions a mixture of concern and understanding. Jungkook continued, his voice growing steadier as he poured out his heart. "Taehyung means the world to me, but I was scared. I didn't want to admit how I felt, so I pushed him away. I thought it would make things easier, but it only made everything worse. When I saw you and Taehyung together, everything with Kai just... I just... lost it. The jealousy and confusion got the best of me."
He further narrated what happened between him and Taehyung the previous day with both of his friends giving him a disapproving look when he told them about how he lashed out at Taehyung.
"And he forgave you?"
"Yes."
"Just like that?"
"Just like that." Jungkook took a deep breath and proceeded with a slight smile on his face as he continued further. "I took my time but I finally realized..."
Yugyeom leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Jungkook. "What did you realize?"
Jungkook looked down, his heart racing as he spoke the words that had been weighing on his mind. "I realized that I'm in love with Taehyung. Truly, deeply in love with him. And it took almost losing him for me to see it."
The room fell silent as his words hung in the air. Yugyeom and Eunwoo exchanged another glance, this time their expressions filled with a mixture of relief and support.
"Well, it's about time," Yugyeom said with a small smile. "We've all seen how much you care about him. How you treat him and just the way you look at him... It's good to hear you finally acknowledge it."
