My parents have no idea what they've just done. An academy?! They can't be serious. I mean, sure, I've done a few "questionable" things before, like spray painting the word "reject" on the side of my school, pulling the fire alarm everyday at exactly 12:00 p.m., and switching out Mrs. Baxter's nail polish with super glue. But that's all in the past. Plus, she gave me detention so many times that she should have seen it coming. So technically, it's not my fault for being one step ahead of her.

The point is, my parents want me to go to this dump called the "Good Girls Academy". I mean, what kind of a name is that? They probably teach you how to sip a cup of tea like you're there with the Queen of England. As if I'd actually go to one of those classes. Yeah, you can count me out.

My name is Parker Jones, and the first thing that you need to know about me is that I'm not one to live by society's standards. Anything formal, proper, or expensive is a total turn off for me. I'm perfectly happy sitting over there in the corner with my band shirts and beat up sneakers on. And if you think I'm crazy for not wanting to get dressed up in pink and glitter and play dolls, then that's your fault, not mine. All I know is that I'm not ready to switch schools and have to start all over again. The last thing I need are some extra rules to follow (not that I'd obey them anyway, but still).

Tomorrow is my first day at the GGA and all I want is to stay at home and listen to music. But no. I'm not allowed to even stay in my own house anymore. Because now, I have to stay at this Academy and sleep in a jail cell every night. Alright, that might have been an exaggeration but when you think about it, it's not all that far from the truth. They might as well make us wear orange jumpsuits and serve time. But if that is how they work over there, then I'm hoping someone can bail me out.

Please, just let someone bail me out.
