The Curse of the Hat

Welcome back boys and girls to another scary tale told by your host with the most Deirdre Stephenson. I do enjoy our time together by our lovely campfire watching your reaction to my scary stories I tell while enjoying a tasty treat I provide. So once more do come take a seat plus there is plenty of candy apples and s'mores to pass around. Don't worry kiddie's we still have eleven more curse stories to hear before we closed this book I have before me the one I do my reading from every story in this book was written by me of course. So everyone comify? Good we can begin our new tale which is entitled the curse of the hat. Somewhere in California there is a store for men only men's shoes, coats and other things that men can use like wallets to watches. There is one hat that stands out from the rest of the hats for men being sold because this hat looks like it belonged to a character by the name of Dick Tracy same one that was worn in the movie yellow with a black band on it. One day there is a college male that came to the store because it is only three weeks before Halloween and he is going to a party so he wants to dress up so he was planning on going as Dick Tracy himself. Greg Luis was the college student who came in the store he knew what Dick Tracy wore so he was looking for anything that will come close to it. When he saw the hat he knew he will get the rest no problem so he just took the hat next he found the rest the coat to the suit and shoes plus a watch that came close looking like the one he wore in the movie. After shopping Greg went back to his room that he was staying in the school dorm and the ce he was in his room he eagerly got everything out of the bag as he couldn't wait to see what he will look like once he got everything on. After Greg got dressed he takes a look at himself in the mirror finally putting the hat on he looks at himself in the mirror agreeing that he looks almost like Dick Tracy pleased with his costume he takes it off because Halloween still weeks away. By the time Halloween came that day Greg puts on the suit, coat, hat and shoes plus the watch on his left arm. That evening there was a Halloween party at the college for the students and when Greg arrived at the party they already knew he was going as Dick Tracy because of the students has seen that movie as they told Greg he very much does look like Warren Beatty as Greg thanks everyone. That night everyone who went to the Halloween party all having a great time plus tons of pictures were being taken as well. It was three days later that Greg was called to see the dean of the college with the professional photographer there as well holding a few photos were taken. The dean has no idea what to say but all Greg to see the photos the ones with him only in the photo. When Greg took the photos he went in horror because in the photo he looked like an wild animal attacked him along with him not only unexplained scratches on him but he was also covered in blood as well. After the visit with the Dean while no one can explain why those photos turned out that way now Greg health begins to fall. Every day Greg will wake up to a very nasty cough he would cough so hard that blood would come up every time he coughed. During one of his classes that his professor told Greg to go see the school nurse about this cough and see what she can do for it. When Greg saw the nurse she said after hearing his lungs that he really should see his doctor. One day Greg calls to make an appointment with his doctor about this cough he has. When his appointment came it was his mother who came to pick him up as she showed concern hearing how bad Greg's coughing is. When his doctor saw him after examine Greg his doctor told him he needs to be at the hospital because his coughing is enough to be worried to what is going on. So now Greg goes to the hospital as he gets admitted with his mother still with him. Soon as Greg got into a room along with his doctor arrives at the hospital he starts taking test on his patient to find the cause of this coughing along with blood coming out every time he coughed. None of the test results that came back showed what is wrong with Greg but one morning the nurse came in his room with his medicine found Greg dead in bed as every hole of him was dripping blood as the nurse rushed the doctor. Two weeks after the funeral of the death of Greg Luis that it was never known that the hat he bought was cursed and that was what killed him. Now everything he bought to look like Dick Tracy was brought back to the store as the hat is back where it was for another person to buy and their life will end as well. That concludes this story boys and girls while I do hope you you this as much as I enjoyed telling it.
