We are the Foster Kids
In this world we were thrown,
Unwanted, neglected and alone.
But we are the foster kids,
And we won’t be held down by life’s tids.
The system may have failed us,
But our spirits will never be crushed.
We are not defined by our past,
For we have the strength to outlast.
Through all the struggles we’ve faced,
We’ve grown stronger in this world
And we will rise above it all,
For we are foster kids, standing tall.
So let’s band together, hand in hand,
And create a world that we demand.
Where love and care is all we know,
And we will grow and continue to glow.
For foster kids, we are not weak,
We are resilient and unique.
And we will make our mark on this world,
As we rise above and unfurl.
From one foster kid to another,
Let’s show them we are more than just a number.
And let our light shine bright,
As we show the world our might.
We are the foster kids,
And we won’t let our spirits be dimmed.
For we will rise above it all,
And show the world that we can stand tall
