One day, a few weeks after Tom's class had started doing about space, it came to an end. Mr Swaynbi announced that there would be "no more lessons about space until next year" Tom stopped everything he was doing, he knew it was silly of him to feel this way because it was just a lesson, school, but Tom loved learning about space so much he could just do it all the time! "However" Started Mr Swaynbi, "there will be a competition running around school, where the prize will be to go up to space and be let out of the rocket so you can float about!" Tom stood up exitedly "can we take part in it?!" "Yes of course you can!" Replied mr Swaynbi. "Anyway, what you have to do is write a story about space! It must include lots of real life facts about space, but a fictional storyline." Tom could not wait to get home tonight to start writing!
