chapter 7~

Logan stated moving but not by his own will, it was Magneto, he pinned Logan up against the wall and trapped him with scrap metal.

"Logan!" Lexi shouted

Scott started using his lasers to try and get Logan out but Storm was next, he put a pieces of scrap metal on her neck. next was Scott and Jean who he had face each other. then Lexi who he placed next to Logan.

and then he appeared. Magneto.

"ah, my brothers. welcome. and you, just point those claws of yours in a safer direction." Magneto said aimed at Logan and trapped his hands in metal so he couldn't use them.

then Sabertooth appeared next to him.

"you'd better close your eyes." he said to Scott and Sabertooth tore off his glasses.

"no!" Lexi shouted

"ah and you, you won't need those anymore." Magneto said referring to her ear cuffs

"you don't wanna do that." Jean urged

Jean had seen the damage of Lexi's powers before, she knew she couldn't control it, or contain it, it would be dangerous if those cuffs came off.

"oh and why?" Magneto asked but Sabertooth did it anyway

"no!" Scott said hearing everything going on

Lexi closed her eyes trying her best to contain her powers and the noise since they were in New York City she could hear every noise.

Logan, who was next to her, looked at Lexi with confusion and concern.

after Scott heard that they took off Lexi's ear cuffs he knew they were in trouble.

"Storm, fry him." Scott said

"oh yes. a bolt of lightning into a huge metal copper conductor. i thought you lived at a school." Magneto says taunting them.

Lexi could hear everything going on outside the applause from the audience, the footsteps of the person speaking everything.

"are you okay?" Logan whispered to her since her eyes were tightly shut. she was desperately trying to contain her power and not let out and blasts that could harm anyone or even bring down the statue, so she didn't answer.

at a ceremony people were applauding and cheering as someone walked up to a podium.

"for those of you who may not be familiar with the historical significance-" a man spoke but didn't continue

"having trouble containing your power?" Magneto says in a mocking tone as he looks at Logan.

"you don't know what she can do, do you? very well then, with every sound she takes in she converts that into energy but with so much sound she can't contain all of it so she lets out powerful blasts, she could bring down this whole place." Magneto explains, he knew her father and his power so he was very familiar with Lexi's mutation

"give her back her ear pieces then, if you don't want this place to go down, you can see she can't contain it." Logan said

"then she won't reach her full
potential." Magneto says

"damn you!" Logan says as he turned to Lexi. she was barely holding on.

Magneto checked his ear piece to see how Mystique was doing, but she didn't answer.

"Mystique?" he questioned

Jean decided to speak again this time.

"i've seen Senator Kelley." she said
