Sal POV [𖦹]
I cracked my knuckles and pulled my fingers back. Sounds of rustling and talking ran around me. I stared at the round orange pumpkin in front of me.

Everybody was already here, scrambling around, getting tools and conversing about different ideas. Meanwhile I blankly sat waiting for ..

My head perked up as I heard his fist hit the door. I quickly got up and opened the door to see Travis, again. I didn't really expect it, but at the last second he ended up calling my house phone, agreeing to show up. Even then I wasn't completely sure I believed him, but here he was.

"Hey traaavis" I leaned out of the way to let him in the door. He gave me a look, his look, and came in.

As I let him pass me into the house I got a glance at his ankle. The once chunky boot that he wore was gone now "hey! no more boot huh?" He turned back to me and looked down at his leg as if he'd forgotten. "oh..yeah"

Once he came in I could feel as the room slowly dropped into an awkward silence "Hey Travis..," Ashley spoke quietly. I could tell she was trying to be nice but had a hard time with it being Travis and all. I don't blame her, or any of them really. I'm actually really surprised they're agreeing to this.

"Hello.." he scratched his wrist. The room was quiet for a moment with just all of us looking around at each other like a bunch of idiots.

Before I could try and make things less awkward Larry spoke "so what are you going to carve on your pumpkin Travis? A cross I bet," he teased and grabbed a rigid carving knife. He sat down and sunk the knife into the top of his pumpkin.

"Oh Larry it's actually easier if you cut it from the bottom," Todd tried to explain but Larry kept stabbing "Nahhh it's alright, I'm doing it the Larry way" he claimed. "Is the Larry way just guessing and hoping?" Ashley laughed "And it always works," right as he said that he sunk his knife too deep and ended up stabbing the bottom.

"SHIT.. man did I stab the bottom?!" Ashley covered her mouth giggling "always works huh?" Everybody started laughing a little, I even saw Travis joining in.

Thank god Larry is so good at breaking the ice. I don't even think he does it on purpose.

Travis sat in one of the chairs "by the way, no I wasn't, you know being Christian isn't my whole personality right?" He squinted at Larry like..he was supposed to know that? "Oh really? I thought that was your point for like the last three years" I wasn't going to say it out loud but, yeah.

"Well IImm going to do clumpy, you know the pose it's doing in my locker" Ash sat down and I shortly followed after her. I looked over at Todd as I noticed he didn't come with the rest of us "Todd, you dont wanna carve? You've got a pumpkin" I said as I hit the top of it. He pushed up his glasses "I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin mush underneath my nails. Plus I know Larry is going to try and touch my face with guts all over his fingers" Larry looked at him in shock like it wasn't incredibly true. "What! That was sooooo long ago..come on I won't do it again" Todd furrowed his brows "it was last year." And every year before that..

"I'm a changed man Todd," Larry put his hand over his heart "don't you trust me?" he said sarcastically. "Absolutely not" Ashley snickered, "he's way too smart to fall for your games" Larry squinted at her and ripped the top of his pumpkin off. "Maybe he is, but you sure aren't" he put his hand in it and pulled out some guts. He raised his hand at Ashley's face. Despite her pulling away he still managed to get her. "LARRY..Augh.." she wiped her face and attempted to rub some on him. Todd and I laughed as he watched the two of them play around like children.
