"Why would they do that?" Heeseung frowned and Sunghoon shrugged, watching as the detective shuffled through some files, "Their portfolios are all different. There is no way they could end up in one class." He let out a troubled sigh and Sunghoon pointed at the chair across Heeseung's desk, sitting immediately after the detective nodded his head.

Sunghoon pulled his phone out, opening a document before showing it to Heeseung, "After the first two murders, our university started losing students both locally and internationally. Word was spreading and income was reducing. With the police taking too long and the detective working on this before you having no interest, they took matters into their own hands and connected the dots, only to end up finding that they all took Fine Arts."

Heeseung scoffed, he had been informed that the detective before him handed the case over to Heeseung because she was to deal with some personal issues. He couldn't believe her. "However, from what I know, the Professor is innocent and rather, he involved someone else in this. I've been trying to get access to their student information but they've hidden it all a little too well. And of course, they manipulated these portfolios and then handed them over."

This time, it was Sunghoon who scoffed, a glint of anger in his eyes as a natural scowl formed on his face. "We'll have to bring the Professor in for questioning," Sunghoon's head shot up and he saw a certain emotion cross Heeseung's face but it was gone as fast as it came. Guilt? Hatred? Remorse?

He couldn't tell. Either way, he was doing a job where he couldn't let emotions fuck with his head. "I'll bring you his contacts so that you can question him personally," Sunghoon shot Heeseung an encouraging smile and Heeseung nodded, ignoring it completely. "Make it quick. I want to see what else you've got to offer especially since I have almost nothing reliable to work with."

Heeseung watched the way Sunghoon deflated under his stare, walking away with his head down and something inside the detective cracked. Something he didn't know could. A little while passed until Sunghoon returned back into the office, with a file in his hands. He seemed more collected compared to when he had left.

"It has all the details about the professor, I'm sure he won't be too hard to convince if we use his criminal record against him," Sunghoon smirked and Heeseung raised a brow, clearly impressed when Sunghoon slid a file towards him. He couldn't believe that was a student reporter he was teamed up with. Maybe Yeonjun was right after all. He always was.

"Yeonjun Hyung let me look through his computer while I was gathering information on the professor." Sure, the detectives were not allowed to disclose such information to anyone but the government officials but Yeonjun had done it with meaning and Heeseung couldn't care less. "We'll give him a call around next week then. In the meantime, we'll do some more digging, I could use some of your help." Sunghoon nodded and blushed when Heeseung gave him a small smile.
