I wake to the sound of the wild animals throughout the forest, a quiet peaceful awakening compared to others I've experienced. As the light shines through my windows I close my eyes and listen to the sound of nature as I try to drift off again. The sound of squirrels scurrying in trees, the sounds of birds flying over and singing their songs, and the sound of pairs of paws stepping over to my front door.
Before I can register the last sound I hear the sound of pounding at my door "Wake up sleepy head!" The bubbly voice screams, taking me out of my sweet rest. Maybe they'll think I'm dead if I don't make a sound. As I try to remain silent a loud piercing knock fills the silence. I groan as I stand up and stretch my back climbing off the bed and making my way to the door.
Making my way over to my front door I opened it and my theory was sadly right as 4 differently colored cats stood before me. Of the four the one closest to my door and the one who knocked is a green cat named Clover. He tends to get in a lot of trouble but she probably cares the most about everything and everyone. "Today we're going to the pond! Come on, we're leaving now!"
"Why would I want to come?" I ask sitting down as he begins to ponder for a reason.
"Well...Sunny doesn't know how to swim!" "Hey!" Sunny quickly replies. That's true. I could play a practical joke on him. I stand back up and walk outside, pushing my front door closed, not bothering to lock it.
"Fine. But don't expect me to do anything but sunbathe" Clover seems the only one to smile at that remark as he begins to walk the others following behind as much as I don't want to admit it I have nothing else better to do today. Glad she decided to invite me.
"Next is Carrot then we can go, right?" The purple cat says. Her name is Berry. She's quite caring and keeps everyone in check when they force us to go on trips like these. I tune the conversation out as I slow my walking pace to get to the back of the line we formed in the back beside me now is Bucket, a light blue cat. He is always anxious and that just makes him easy to pick on
"Aren't you excited for swimming! There could be leeches, or eels, or OO a crocodile!" His white eyes grow big as his brain starts to work over time
"There aren't any of those in a pond!...right?" He says questionably as I laugh at him.
"when do you think the apocalypse is going to happen so we can finally show off our abilities" I whisper to him
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN APOCALYPSE!?" He screams stopping in his tracks
"Apple leave Bucket alone." Sunny says harshly towards me. "The apocalypse won't happen he's just being him" what is that supposed to mean?! Bucket seems to calm down from the words of reassurance.
From what I can remember every cat has an affinity with something. For example there is a species called water cats in which they are excellent swimmers and can control water. Some of them can control it in different ways and that leads to them being more powerful than the rest. But it's different with us 6. I'm able to make fire, which is probably the coolest. I don't know anyone else, nor do I know anything deeper into my abilities. It would be cool to know however.
We continue the walk, silence overcoming the five of us as we continue the trek to Carrot's house. They're the strangest of everyone. Everyone here is an oddball but he gives me the creeps. They are an orange cat but where the face would normally be, they have a black box over it. Kinda like censoring. Sometimes it flashes with different symbols or faces but it never truly stays.
