POV: JACKSON

The sound of the raging alarm wakes me up from my sleep. I look over to Tom, he stirs and goes back to sleep. I don't know how this doesn't wake him up. I rub my eyes and sit up. I look at the clock and it tells me its 10 mins past 6. I'm sure the warriors are already up for their morning training.

I got out of bed and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I head to the kitchen to see the cook and maid already at work. I only have one cook and a maid at my house unlike the general pack house.
The cook is a middle-aged woman named Cynthia but we call her Aunt cee. Her and my mother were great friends before she died. The maid is a young girl named Bethany. We call her Beth. She is mated to the head warrior. She's close friends with aunt cee. I had wanted someone to help with the house cleaning and told aunt cee to help in looking for someone. She recommended Beth, saying she trusted her.

"Good morning Alpha Jackson". Beth greeted and continued what she was doing. "Good morning Beth". I responded heading to the kitchen.

"Good morning Aunt cee." I greeted taking a can of water and gulping it down. Stay hydrated.

"Good morning dear, off to training ground?" I nodded, my blonde hair bouncing on my shoulders.

"Tom is still asleep. What's for breakfast?" I asked

"You know Tom likes cereals every Friday so that's his breakfast" she said and I hummed. "What would you like for breakfast?" She inquired.

"I don't know aunt, you decide. I'll eat anything you make." I said heading for the door.

"Very well then." She continued with whatever she was doing. Leaving Tom with them was hard but I've learnt to trust them over the years. Bethany makes sure Tom is ready for school and fed before taking him to school.

The breaze hits my skin and I shivered a little. The weather was a little cold as it was still morning. The training ground wasn't far from my house. I walked passed the pack house. If was built for warriors, any pack member struggling and unmated wolves to eat and rest in the morning and evening. The cooks were already busy making breakfast.

I got to the training ground and hummed in approval as I saw training had began. Due to the constant rogue attacks recently, training was intense. We weren't a small pack, numbering up to thousands. We get new members sometimes because of the way our system was. We didn't believe in the traditional way of werewolves. Omegas were free to take up any roles they want. Everybody got to work hard to earn it. Alphas, betas and omegas.

The head warrior, Eli, gave me a nod of acknowledgement to which I responded and he continued instructing the warriors He was the best head warrior, doing what he does best. I normally train with my Beta, Chris, but he was there today. Which reminds me.

"Eli." I should and motioned for him to come over. " When is Chris going to be back? Isn't he supposed to come back this morning?" I asked.

Chris is my Beta and best friend. Scratch that, he is my brother. He is 6 feet tall with me at 6'2. He has black hair and black eyes. We have been friends since we were five when he told he would rather eat sand than call me Alpha Jackson. I was livid. We kept bickering and the rest is history.

He was mated to Lynn, his childhood crush. He was one lucky bastard. They have a five years old daughter named Lily. She is the sweetest.

"Yes he was supposed to come back this morning but he called and told me he was facing some issues. He said it's resolved now so by noon, he would be back." Eli said.

Chris had gone to the neighbouring packs in search for volunteers to join my pack. It was some we do once in a year. This was to find mateless wolves, warriors and so on. This time, our main focus was warriors.

"Why didn't he tell me? That damn fool. It's fine, that's all" Eli nodded and went back to train. I inspected the moves, weapons and fighting skill of some of the young warriors. Three hours later, morning training was done. They all head to the pack house for breakfast and I went back home.

POV: SAINT

"I HATE this damn pack. Why won't they just let me leave and be happy? I grumbled zipping my bag.

"The issue has been resolved saint, let's just quickly pack our bags and be on our way before they come up with another complaint" she said taking some bags outside.

I sighed. This damn pack. I had wanted to be a warrior to train and protect my mom and future family but this pack doesn't allow omegas to be anything but cooks, cleaners, daycare teachers. I had raised concern about Omegas rights but it was futile. Some Alphas even said it was because I refused to behave like an Omega that's why I haven't gotten a mate yet despite being 22. That was a lie. I'm going to find my mate when the goddess pleases and not because of their stupid reasons.

That's why I waited patiently for the New Moon yearly volunteer mission. I heard about the way their system was and I loved it. But my damn alpha was making a fuss about letting me go. Stating that I was useful to the pack. Another lie. I didn't succumb to the pack's way of treating Omegas so I barely got jobs. It was horrible. But the Beta of the New Moon pack, I think his name is Chris, fought hard for me stating that it was my free will to leave. The Alpha reluctantly agreed.

We were done packing and was waiting for the Beta to arrive. I stood beside my mom with my arms around her. My dad had died five years ago leaving my mom devastated. He died from an illness that wasn't diagnosed until it was too late. I loved my dad so much and wanted to be like him. He was a beta and a warrior in the pack. My mom was lonely, she doesn't admit it but you can tell. I wanted to protect her and shower her with love but loneliness from a mate was something I couldn't fill. I just hoped she would be happy in this new pack. The Beta came and we left for the new pack.

The New Moon pack was big and beautiful. Bigger than my former pack for sure. We passed by so many big buildings and structures, some of them making a mental note to visit. We arrived at an apartment. It wasn't only mom and I that came with the Beta. We were 20 in total, some from other packs.

"Get settled here," the Beta said bringing me out of my thoughts. " The head staff, Ben" he pointed to a man, "will show you to your rooms. Get settled down and we'll meet on Monday for introduction and initiation to the pack" he finished and left.

"Follow me." Ben said walking inside. Why is he grumpy? He gave us keys to our rooms and gave us basic instructions such as;
-No leaving the apartment ground until we've been initiated.
-our food will be served 8am, 1pm and  6pm.

There was other instructions but I paid attention to the important ones. My mom and I got settled in. It was a two bedroom apartment. The living room and kitchen were some distance away. Overall, it was okay. I was very happy I got away from my old pack.

I really hope I would find my mate here. I've always longed for someone to hold and cherish me. Growing up with the type of love I saw between my parents, it was something I looked forward to. A mate.
