I'm sitting at the dining table, watching everyone getting into the mood for thanksgiving.
I hate holidays.
Every year I was all alone.
This year, I'm at Aunt Edith's house. She is the only parent-figure I know.
Sitting on the windowsill deepening my thoughts Aunt Edith interrupts me.

Edith: „Agatha have you heard from your parents yet?   Your mom said that they would try to come"

Agatha: „And you believed her? Silly of you"

Edith: „I wanted to trust my little sister for once"

Agatha: „Yeah, me too"

We moved to the kitchen when the door suddenly swung open.
Here they where. Aurora and Steve.

Aurora : „Who missed us?"

While they were welcomed warmly I couldn't help feeling sad. My Parents never had any interest in me.
My Mom got pregnant with me at 20 just as she started college and her party life. I didn't fit into her lifestyle. So she had to choose.
I wasn't the choice.

I always thought of her as a sister. Anytime someone would ask me about her. I told them that I live with my grandparents. Them and my Aunt were the only family I knew.
My Dad? I don't really have any memory of him. I barely have any of my childhood strangely.

We all sat down and started eating.
