Chapter 1

SANTA

It's 5:30 p.m right now.The school is going to close in another 15 minutes probably.But what can I do? Phi'Aou told me he would pick me up in the evening at 4:30 yet he is not here.I know he is with his friends and has totally forgotten about me.
I will just continue with my painting until he is here.
That's when I hear my phone ringing.It's Phi's call.

*On the call*
Santa : Sawadee khap Phi.
Aou : Santa,I am outside your school. Come out we have to go home.
Santa : Really Phi? Aren't you early?!
Aou : Santa ! Don't be sarcastic. Khotod na!! I was with my friends!
Santa: Yes Phi I know,you have an event coming up.I will be out in a minute.
Aou : Okay I am waiting.

I go outside to see phi's car there and it's apparently raining.
'How will I get inside?!My painting will get ruined!' I wonder.
'Phi!Can you please get your car near?' I say to him from afar.
He comes a little further and I get into the car with everything.
Aou : Ohh! You're making a new painting, huh?What are you making this time?It looks like a guy.
Santa : Chai khap! It's a guy.I want to submit my painting for the art gallery.
Aou : I'm sure people will love your artwork,like always.Will you submit it anonymously again?
Santa : Yes Phi!
Aou : Santa! Your paintings are amazing but I think you should let people also know it's you making them.It's good for you only.
Santa : I feel it's better this way.
Aou : Whatever suits you.Anyway tomorrow is your holiday,right?How about you help me in the university to set up for the event?
Santa : Okay sure Phi! I am free anyways.
Aou : Yeah, you're always free because you have no friends to roam with.Why don't you go out sometimes and meet people?
Santa : Phi I do have friends. You, Phi'Boom, Phi'View, Phi'Gun-
Aou : Santa! I mean some friends of your own age.
Santa : Phi, I am better without them.Anyway I am getting off.We've reached home .

PERTH

Pond : What about you Perth?
Book : Alaiwa!? Did he not hear you or something?
Dunk : Perth! Perth are you listening? Perth!!!!
Perth : Huh?What happened Dunk?Why are you shouting?
Book : We called you so many times, why weren't you listening?
Perth : Oh nothing, I was just thinking about something.What were you saying Pond?
Pond : I asked if you want to try the restaurant.
Perth : Which restaurant?
Dunk : The restaurant his boyfriend introduced him to! Pond says they make really good food.
Pond : Chai,Do you want to go?
Perth : Okay,Let's go there tonight 7 p.m?

I can't stop thinking about him.
I saw a guy, I think he was Santa?I don't know but I saw some students of our school bullying him.I guess they wanted Santa to do their project but when he said he was busy, they started bullying him.So I jumped in to protect him.When the students were gone Santa wasn't there either.He must have escaped when I came there.
I don't get such people.Why do they let people bully them?When I see him again, I will ask him for sure. I have seen bullying happen in our school so many times and it always makes me angry.That's why I helped him.I hope he stays okay.

SANTA

Mom : Santa!Aou!Can either of you take the order of table 23? I am busy!
Santa : Okay mom! I will go take it.

I get out of the kitchen and go towards to table.
Santa : Sawadee khap! Welcome to our restaurant! What can I get for you?
Book : Sawadee khap.Can you get us a full vegetable large pizza?
Pond : Don't add mushrooms please!I am allergic to them.By the way, have I seen you somewhere?
Dunk : Oh yeah!It's a guy from our school,he tops every single exam.I think I am forgetting your name.Let Perth come,he might identify you.By the way,do you work here?
Santa : It's my mother's restaurant.I work here when I am free at times.
Perth : What are you guys talking about?

It's the same guy from morning.I must get back to the kitchen before he identifies me!
Phi'Aou is there talking with mom.
Santa : Phi! Can you please go take the order?I am going upstairs,I am tired
Mom : You haven't yet taken the order of table 23?What were you doing?! Aou go take the order.
Aou: Okay mom.

How should I avoid him?I don't know.I don't want him to identify me.He will get to know he saw me in the morning being bullied.I don't want to let Phi know I get bullied in school.
While I am going I feel a hand pull me aside to the storeroom.He turns the light on.
Santa : Alai?! What are you doing?
Perth : Santa? My friends told me you work here.Weren't you being bullied today morning?Why did you let them bully you,huh?
Santa : Me getting bullied is none of your concern ! I am saying this respectfully,please don't interfere.

I walk out of the room and go upstairs.
I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling.
What a tiring day it was!

-THE NEXT DAY-

AOU

'Where shall we put this table?' Film asks me while holding a large  table with Louis.
'I think it would look good near the gate. People can easily see it and get whatever they want to eat. I think you should also ask the professor once about this.' I reply.
Aou : Santa! Why are you busy on your phone? I called you here to get work done.
Santa : I know that Phi. But you haven't yet told me what to do.
Aou : Go and help Gun.He is making the banner.
Santa : Where is he?
Aou : On the second floor,outside the library.
Santa : Phi! The second floor is huge.Where is the library?
Aou : Oh my god! Just go upstairs and ask someone!

With the pace everyone is doing work,I am pretty sure we won't be able to complete it before time.The sports day is on Tuesday and we hardly have three days left for that! I also have to practise basketball but who will handle things here?

Boom : Aou! What happened? Why are you so worried, huh?
Aou : Boom, things are not going well at all! How will we be able to complete all the work before Tuesday?
Boom : Don't worry, we will be fine.Don't you have basketball practise today?
Aou : I do, but I have told them I am going to be busy and will not practise with them.
Boom : Aou,Come on! You love basketball and you're their best player! Don't worry about things here, you go practise basketball. I will handle this!
Aou : Are you sure Boom?
Boom : Yeah ofcourse! Go practise!
Aou : Thank you friend!Love you!

'Guys,I am here to practise with you all!Let's get on with it!'I say.
One of boys pass me the ball and as I try to dribble all the way to the net I slip.
Ouch! Might've forgot to tie my laces.

BOOM

View : Oh! This looks bad! How did you fall Aou?
Aou : My laces were open and I was running so I kind of slipped.
Louis : Look at you now! You scrapped you knee and sprained you ankle.How will you take part in the sports day now?!
Aou : Oh, come on! I will be alright. It's just a sprain.
Boom : Just a sprain? I am pretty sure you can't even walk by yourself now.
Aou : I am fine. This will surely be fine overnight if I apply medicine.I will take part in the sports day for sure! I will make my team win.

'Aou does not listen to anyone! He is hurt but still trying to act alright. So stubborn!' I say.
'Oh come on Boom! Why do you like him then, huh?' Film replies. She has been my best friend since the first year.
Boom : Have you seen him? He is so hot and cute and-
Film : Stop stop. Don't say anything more. I know you can praise him for hours if I say you to. My mood is good, don't ruin it!!
Boom : How can I help it?He is so nice!
Film : Yeah yeah I got it!
Boom : By the way, Are all the banners and mini flags done?
Film : Only one banner is left while all the mini flags of Golden Light are left. What was the other team named?
Boom : I think it was Silver Stars? That's the team Aou is on.
Film : Okay.
