'Guys you really didn't have to do all of this.' I say.
'Come on Boom! You are our friend na. Of course we had to do this.' replies Film.
My phone rings.
I check my phone to find Santa calling me, I pick it up.
Boom : Hello?
Santa : Sawadee khap phi'Boom. Happy Birthday to you!
Boom : Thank you so much for wishing me Santa.
Santa : I am really sorry I couldn't be there.
Boom : Why are you apologizing? It's totally fine. You wanted to go on your school trip. That's understandable.
Santa : Thank you for understanding na. By the way how is your father now?
Boom : He is well but he is in coma. The doctor say he might not ever be able to wake up.
Santa : Don't worry phi'Boom. Your father will totally be alright.
Boom : Let's hope so. How is your trip going on by the way?
Santa : Oh I am having so much fun! Today I even drowned but I got saved in time.
Boom : You drowned? How are you now?
Santa : I am fine. Perth saved me.
Boom : Perth? Perth who?
Santa : Ohhh you don't know. Perth is my boyfriend.
Boom : Ohhhhhh. Boyfriend, huh? That's amazing. Well I will talk to you later. Bye! Good night.
Santa : Okay. Bye phi'Boom! Good night phi'.

'Who was it?' Aou asks me.
'It was your brother. He just wished me for my birthday. You know he has a boyfriend?' I say to him.
'Boyfriend? Two days ago they were in a situationship. Now they are dating? Well I don't understand these kids.' Aou replies.

SANTA

'Santa! Wake up.' says Perth as I wake up.
There is no one there but him.
'Where are Dunk, Pond and Book?' I say.
'Gone for exercise. I stayed so I could wake you up. I know you slept late.' Perth replies.
'Ohhhh. Thank you na.' I reply as he moves closer to me.
That's when Book enters the tent and says 'Look at you both. You were left alone for 15 minutes. If I came a minute later, would I have found you guys making out?'
I laugh at what he said.
'Come let's go. They are calling everyone.' says Book.

'What are we doing today?' Dunk asks to Mr. Rit.
'River trekking and later on challenges as a group. At night you will also all be going camping in the forest. Spending the night there. We will be going after breakfast. You all better be quick, it takes some time to get there. Also wear comfortable slippers.' he replies.
'Why do they want us to wear slippers? It's just trekking.' says Pond.
'Yeah, I too think the same.' replies Dunk.

'Ouch!' Pond say as he slips on some random rock with algae during river trekking.
'That's why they asked to wear slippers. You are wearing them but still slipping Pond.' replies Perth.
'Guys make a chain, if you don't want to fall.' says Mr.Rit.
So we all hold hands and start moving forward.
The water is so cold and the depth keeps increasing as we move forward.
'Everyone, stay still for a minute. Let's get some pictures clicked, shall we?' says Mr. Rit. He then takes a camara out of his bag.
'Say cheeze everyone!' he shouts.
That's when I feel something wierd bite my leg.
'Ouch!' I shout.
I look down to see a leech.
Yes, a leech on my foot.
My picture must have probably came wierd because of that.
'Mr. Rit!' calls Perth as he notices it too.
Mr. Rit comes.
'Ohh dear, sit here on this rock. Let me remove it.' says Mr. Rit.
I don't know what he does but the leech is removed and my foot is also not bleeding.
'There are a few of them here. Everyone walk safely. If it bites one of you do tell me. Santa asks your friends to help you walk.' continues Mr.Rit.
'Khap.' I reply.
Ugh. Did it have to bite me only?
I can't even walk properly now.

PERTH

'Commando bridge, zipline, zorbing and net climbing.' says a guide.
'Wait, that's four activities. We are group of five.' says Book.
'I know there are groups of five people. One of them has to leave the group to play these game and join the other one.' replies Mr. Rit.
'Who will leave the group?' asks Pond.
'Hey, Santa. You also have a group of five, right? One of you has to leave. Santa, why don't you join our group? Me, Lucy and another friend of her is here with us-' says Wan but is I disturb him.
'No. Santa is not leaving. Dunk you leave the group this time and go with them.' I say.
'Oh? So possessive man. Left your friend for your boyfriend? Well okay I will leave.' says Dunk.

'The challenge will be like a race. The first person will do commando bridge from starting to checkpoint 1. Then second person who will be standing there will start zorbing and go to checkpoint 2. Then zipline and net climbing at last to checkpoint 4. Your time will be recorded group wise from starting to checkpoint 4.' says Mr. Rit.
'I will do the commando bridge, Book you do zorbing, Santa zipline and Pond net climbing.' I say.
'I wanted to do zipline man!' says Book.
'Oh come on. Santa is hurt. The zipline is the best he can do.' I reply.

BOOM

'Umm,no! I told him I was joking.' I say to the group.
We are here in a café in mall. They bought me here because they wanted to lighten my mood.
That's when my phone rings. It's some nurse from the hospital.
Boom : Hello?
Nurse : Hello? Am I talking to Mr. Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn?
Boom : Chai khap. That's me.
Nurse : Sir. Please come here quickly. Your father's condition is not well.
Boom : What happened to him?
Nurse : Sir, his condition is extreme, he is having an heart attack. His body reacted that way to a medicine we gave him.
Boom : Heart attack?! I am coming there. Please take care oh him till then.

How can I do this?
I forgot to tell the doctors that father has heart disease.
Now because of that some wrong medicine were give and now he has heart attack...
Because of me.
I can never forgive myself if something happens to him.

'Where is he?' I ask the receptionist.
'Please wait some time sir. His operation is going on.' she replies.
I go and have a seat on a bench there.
'Please god take care of him please.' I think to myself.
I don't want anything to happen to him.
'He will be fine Boom, don't worry.' says Aou to me as he pats my shoulder lightly.
'What if something happens to him?' I ask Aou as my eyes water.
'Ohhh come on. He will be fine.' Aou says as he hugs me.

The operation has been going on from a few hours and it's still not over.
I don't want to rest or eat anything.
I don't want to.
Not until my father is fine.
A doctor comes out of the operation room.
'Are you his son?' he asks me.
'Yes, how is he?' I ask back to him.
'I am sorry to say this sir but your father is no more. We couldn't save him.' the doctor replies.
His words, sharper than a knife shatter my heart into pieces.
I drop to the ground on my knees.
I can't believe this.
My father...is no more?
I feel hands around me trying to keep me stable.
Aou's hands.
I don't know anything else.
I faint there.

AOU

'Boom?! Are you alright?!' I say as he faints in my arms.
'Doctor, can we get him a bed?' I say.
A few minutes later I am here sitting next to Boom.
I wonder how he must be feeling right now.
His father dying...on his birthday.
Boom wakes up and looks around.
Aou : Boom?! Are you fine?!
Boom : I am fine.
Aou : Let me get you something to eat. You fainted-
Boom : Can you just leave me alone for some time?
Aou : But Boom-
Boom : Please?
'Okay.' I say as I go out of the room.
I hope Boom gets better.
