CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX| (HURT BOYFRIEND)

CHAY
"Just in case, do you have any idea where my twin is? That kiddo has been ignoring me for hours," Chay says, putting away an empty bowl of what used to be very delicious Pad Thai.
Kim finishes his portion as well and puts the bowl on the bedside table. "I think that might be because he is with Wik. Wik is keeping him very busy."
Chay raises his eyebrow, "do I wanna know the nature of that busy...?"
Kim laughs and shakes his head, "I've been told by Wik that they are only friends for now... However, he is my twin which means that I know when he is lying. And he was definitely lying."
Chay rolls his eyes, "I'm still not the biggest Wik fan, but he seems to be really trying. And Non seems to trust him..." Chay murmurs, "it's good that he trusts him."
Kim caresses Chay's hair, palm resting on Chay's nape, "I'm sure they come to see you soon."
"Wik can stay outside," Chay immediately replies.
Kim giggles, "I'll make sure to tell him that once he arrives."
Chay's eyes fall on the black notebook Kim brought with him. It's been lying on the edge of the bed this whole time. He nods his head towards it, "what's that?"
Kim looks where Chay is looking and smiles a little. He reaches for the notebook and turns to Chay again, "that is my lyrics notebook. I have to write a song for a class."
"Songs?" Chay's eyes flicker in interest. "My cupcake is writing songs, hmm? Show me." He reaches for the notebook, but Kim is quick to snatch it away.
"No."
"No?" Chay raises his eyebrow.
"No," Kim shakes his head,
Chay pouts, "your poor, hurt boyfriend is in pain... you really won't make his small wish come true?"
Kim rolls his eyes and drops the notebook in Chay's lap, "my poor, hurt boyfriend is lucky that I love him. This notebook is one of the most important things I own."
Chay smiles, "no worries, cupcake. I'm going to be as gentle with it as I am with you." It's such a small thing, but it's still such a sweet gesture that Kim trusts him enough to let him go through something so important.
"I know," Kim says. "I wanted to show you the notebook anyway, but I just couldn't help but tease a bit. Actually, I wanted to ask you if you want to help me write the song."
"Really?" Chay looks at the notebook in his lap and then back at Kim. He doesn't really have a clue how songwriting works, but sure he is going to help.
