As the ship neared the mysterious island, a thick fog began to surround them, swallowing the boat in an eerie silence.
The dense trees and towering cliffs loomed on the horizon, barely visible through the haze.
The tension among the group grew as they exchanged anxious glances, each one aware of the risks but exhilarated by the unknown that lay ahead.
Jeongguk adjusted his backpack, his eyes narrowing as he examined the dense jungle beyond the beach. "This place looks untouched, like no one's been here in ages," he murmured, half to himself, his tone tinged with awe.
Taehyung moved to stand beside him, his expression serious. "If the journal was right, there should be a path leading us toward the central part of the island...where they supposedly sighted the dinosaurs."
Lisa folded her arms, glancing around with a casual smirk. "So this is it, huh? Looks like something straight out of a horror movie," she quipped, though her eyes sparkled with intrigue.
Hannah nudged Iris, who seemed spellbound by the thick vegetation. "Think we'll see one right away?" she whispered, barely containing her excitement.
"I don't know," Iris replied, eyes wide as she scanned the tree line. "But whatever happens, we need to stay alert."
Angel, who had been unusually quiet, pulled out a small notebook. "I may not know much about dinosaurs, but I know enough about adventure," she said, looking determined. "We should stick together, no wandering off alone."
Ava was already jotting down notes, mentally preparing strategies. "If there are any dangerous creatures, we'll need escape routes. Let's find a good vantage point first, maybe one of those cliffs."
Suddenly, a deep, guttural roar echoed from within the jungle, sending a chill through the group. Nico stiffened, his expression unreadable as he scanned the shadows.
"Did everyone hear that, or am I just paranoid?" Jennie whispered, her voice barely audible.
JK clutched Iris's hand tightly, trying to hide his own nervousness. "No, we all heard it," he assured her, his tone a mix of reassurance and unease.
Jeongguk's face hardened. "It's time to move. Let's stick to the plan and find cover."
As they moved cautiously through the dense foliage, a sudden voice cut through the quiet.
"Excuse me! What do you all think you're doing here?"
The group turned to see a figure emerging from a broken-down boat near the shore. A man in an official-looking uniform, drenched from wading through the water, stared at them with an unimpressed expression. His eyes, though calm, held a sharpness that made them all freeze.
