Back at Neha's house, the group gathered around the table, leaning over a thick, weathered journal she placed before them. The pages were filled with cryptic notes, faded sketches, and strange symbols. Everyone was engrossed, but it was clear the atmosphere had grown tenser.
"We've decided to decode these records," Neha began. "But we need to understand—there might be things here my parents kept hidden for a reason."
"That's the thrill, though, isn't it?" V said, his eyes alight with curiosity. "We're unlocking something no one else has dared to."
Lisa, leaning casually against the wall, smirked. "Sounds dangerous. But if there's one thing I learned abroad, it's that secrets rarely stay hidden. Why not uncover them?"
Iris looked at Lisa, her eyes narrowed. "True, but we're not just talking about old legends. This could be serious—who knows what's on that island?"
Jennie nodded, casting a quick glance around the table. "If we're going to do this, we need to be ready for whatever might be buried within these pages."
Neha turned the page to reveal a faint sketch of a reptilian eye, seeming almost alive. "The journal doesn't just map out locations; there are warnings here, too. And if we're not careful, they could mean the difference between finding the truth and getting lost."
A hush fell over the room, everyone exchanging looks, understanding the risks yet feeling the undeniable pull of the mystery that lay ahead.
As Neha flipped to a hand-drawn map, the group leaned in, examining the rough outlines and faint markers indicating the island's location.
The thrill of discovery mixed with a sense of foreboding, but no one dared to look away.
Just then, Taehyung broke the silence. "I know someone who could help us get there," he said, his voice thoughtful. "We're going to need someone who knows how to navigate unpredictable waters, someone who's skilled in getting to places that aren't exactly easy to find."
V looked at him, intrigued. "And who is this mysterious person?"
Taehyung smiled slightly. "His name's Jeongguk. He's... well, he's my boyfriend, and he's brilliant when it comes to this kind of thing. If anyone can help us get to the island safely, it's him."
There was a murmur of surprise, and a few raised eyebrows, but no one could deny that having a skilled navigator would be an advantage.
"So, when can we meet him?" Rose asked, excitement flickering in her eyes.
"I'll call him," Taehyung replied, pulling out his device. "Trust me—if he agrees to help, we're going to have a much better chance of making it there."
The door swung open, and in walked Jeongguk, with a calm, confident stride. Behind him was a young woman, Jung He-ra. She had an aloof air about her, casting a cool glance over the group before giving Taehyung a nod.
