"You ready?"
"Nope." I reply instantly.
"Don't be nervous, I know you'll do fine," Harry encourages as he closes his front door behind him.
Today is my first day at the new job and I'm really quite scared. I'm so worried I'll screw something up or that everyone working there are going to be so cruel to me due to being new and having near to no idea of what to do.
"Thank you. I hope so anyway," I dryly laugh. As we continue to walk to the elevator then to the car, my nerves grow. "I'm freaking out way more than I need to be," I huff as I sit in the passenger seat, strapping the seat belt over my body.
"You are," Harry laughs and turns his body towards me after he buckles his seat belt. "Now listen to me," he looks straight into my eyes and loosely holds my hands. "You will be ok. You'll do great actually. You won't need to worry, and I'm sure everyone will be nice there. Trust me ok?" He ends with a smile.
I look at him in awe. He's too sweet. "Thank you Harry," I smile largely at him. I lean forward to quickly kiss his cheek, as I pull away I see a look of contentment on his face that absolutely melts me. "It means a lot," I finish off as Harry turns his body forward, to start the small drive to Gloria Jeans.
It's such a beautiful day today, the sky is incredibly blue, sun warmly hitting everything. Days like these always put me in a better mood. Slowly but surely my nerves about my first day decrease.
"Aaaaand we're here," Harry states enthusiastically.
I let out a deep breath. "Well here I go," I turn to him, "wish me luck," I smile and begin to get out of the car.
"Do you want me to wait here just in case?" He quickly suggests as I'm about to shut the car door.
"In case of what?" I let out a small laugh.
He pauses for a moment. "You need help or something?"
His generosity making me nearly fall to my feet. "Awh no Harry I'll be fine. Thank you though! My shift's five hours. There's no way I'm letting you wait here for that long," I laugh. "I'll walk home when my shift's finished. I'll see you later," I smile thankfully as I shut the door.

Everything went quite smoothly. During my whole shift, I only made three mistakes which I'm quite proud of due to my lack of experience in being a barista. The workers here were so lovely, except for one worker, he was incredibly sour to me yet I don't even know his name. I haven't seen the manager all shift because my crew trainer, her name is Brodie, was guiding me all day. I decide I should go see her.
"Hi are you Eve Jones? the manager?" I smile whole heartedly as I enter her office.
"Yea I am! Come in," she coax as she sits at her desk. I find it slightly weird that she didn't do anything out there today, but maybe she had a lot of paper work to do. "You must be the new worker! Violet is it?" She shakes my hand from her desk chair once I approach her.
"Sure am. Just call me Via," I request lightly as I pull my hand away.
"How was your first day? Did you enjoy it here?" She's incredibly nice, she's so chirpy too, like she absolutely loves her job. She's got lovely dark brunette hair with large, deep green eyes, her smile and lips reminds me of Angelina Jolie's. She looks around my age as well.
"Great thank you. Everyone here is so kind," I state politely.
She stands up and smiles at me once again. "Always good to hear. It's four p.m, is your shift finished?"
"Yea it is. I thought I'd come in and meet you before I leave." I really need to make a good impression.
"Trying to butter up the manager are we?" She playfully teases.
"Damn you caught me!" I laugh. What a lame reply.
After saying quick goodbyes with her, I gather my things from the staff room, put on my cardigan and get ready to start walking home. The weather is still so lovely so it should be a good walk home.
Once I walk out onto the path, I see a very familiar black Range Rover. I look into the front window, and there I see Harry, with his man bun perfectly tied on his head and his eyes looking down at his phone. I quickly walk over to the car and open the door.
"You didn't wait here for five hours did you?!" I ask with complete shock. He better not have.
"Hey, I'm good thanks," he sarcastically remarks through laughter. "And no I didn't. You told me how long your shift was so I thought I'd come pick you up then."
I let out a sigh, thankful of his gesture and that he was smart enough to not wait here my whole shift. "Thank you Harry. I really appreciate it, you didn't have to pick me up," I say as I get onto the passenger seat and close the car door.
"You're acting like it's a forty minute drive or something. It's honestly no worries," he smiles whist reversing out of the car spot. "So how was your first day anyway?"
I fill him in on my day and how I made some of the drinks and stuff, and that all the workers were so kind to me, especially Brodie and the manager Eve. The whole time Harry was either shaking his head at my lame remarks or laughing along with me at my stories
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself anyway," he smiles sincerely.
"Thanks me too," I chuckle, my shoulders finally relaxing after the quite stressful day.
Once we pull into the complex car park, we both quickly hop out of the car and head towards the elevators together, arms lightly brushing the whole way to his flat. As Harry opens his front door, I grab out my phone to quickly message Niall.
Hey cuzzzzz, just at Harry's flat. Not dead at my job or anything. Oh and first day was good :) x
Once the message sends I quickly walk inside, close the door behind me and go stand at the kitchen counter whilst Harry grabs a drink from the fridge. My phone soon vibrates in my pocket, forgetting I still had it on silent from work.
Niall
Don't call me cuz again. Thanks. Oh and good to hear. I knew you'd do fine!I place my phone on the counter and look up at Harry.
"How come you never told me that you were such good friends with Danielle?" I ask curiously.
"I didn't think it was that important?" He awkwardly laughs, a little surprised at my random question.
"Ok. Now tell me the real reason," I tease.
He looks at me for a moment and laughs whist shaking his head. "How'd you know I was lying?" His smile is beaming.
"You were merely screaming it with that reasoning. You can tell me the truth, I won't care," I state as I lean onto the counter with my forearms.
"I didn't want it to...I don't know...scare you away. Thinking, y'know that I was interested in her." His cheeks even turn a light shade of red. Too cute.
"What do you mean?" I laugh through confusion. "Danielle's so lovely and she's dating Liam?"
"I was paranoid leave me alone," he laughs with slight embarrassment. I walk around the counter and into the kitchen to hug him tightly, he seems taken off guard at first but he soon hugs me back around my shoulders, strongly with his tone arms.
"You cutie," I murmur into his chest.
"Pfft thanks," he huffs as he lays his head on top of mine.
