The sun is just beginning to rise, casting a soft golden glow across the villa. Inside the bedroom, Dalihé and Isaiah are still tangled in the sheets, lying close together. The soft, rhythmic sound of their breathing fills the quiet room. Their arms are wrapped around each other, unwilling to part, even though the reality of the day ahead is slowly creeping in.
Isaiah: (murmuring against her hair) "We don't have to get up, do we? I could stay like this forever."
Dalihé: (smiling softly, but then sighing as she pulls away slightly) "As much as I wish we could, I don't think it's an option today."
She gently runs her fingers through his hair, her heart heavy with everything that's happened, but also lighter now that they're back together. She looks at him, her eyes soft, still not entirely believing that they're here, in this moment, together.
Dalihé: "But I'm happy you're here. I don't want to leave either. I just... I know we have to face the day."
Isaiah: (nodding, his expression serious, but understanding) "I get it. Let's just take it slow today. We'll get through it... together."
There's a long, quiet moment as they just look at each other, the weight of the situation looming, but for now, they've chosen to focus on the warmth between them. Finally, after what feels like an eternity in each other's arms, Dalihé sighs.
Dalihé: (rubbing her eyes as she sits up) "I guess I should get ready. The others will probably be up soon."
Isaiah: (leaning up on one elbow, still staring at her with a soft smile) "Yeah, but you don't have to rush. Take your time. I'll be here."
She smiles faintly at his words, feeling a small wave of comfort, then stands up, stretching. She walks to the bathroom to start getting ready, but the peaceful moment doesn't last long. The door to the room creaks open, and Deb and Syd enter, the latter still looking like she's been through an emotional storm.
Dalihé: (noticing Syd immediately) "Hey... Are you okay, Syd?"
Syd: (sniffing and wiping her eyes, clearly still shaken up) "I don't know. I thought I knew what was going to happen... but when Justien walked in with Phoebe... I just... I feel so broken."
Deb gives Syd a comforting hug from behind, rubbing her arms in an attempt to calm her down. Dalihé stands up, walking over to them both, her heart aching for her friend.
Dalihé: (softly, placing a hand on Syd's shoulder) "It's okay, Syd. You don't have to go through this alone. We're all here for you."
Syd shakes her head, trying to control the tears that keep spilling out. Her voice cracks as she speaks.
Syd: "I didn't expect him to... not choose me. I thought we had something real. But when I saw him with Phoebe... it felt like all the trust I had in him... it just shattered."
Dalihé exchanges a look with Deb, both of them knowing exactly how Syd feels. They've been there too.
Deb: (gently brushing Syd's hair out of her face) "Just take a deep breath, okay? You're not alone in this. We're right here with you."
Dalihé looks at Syd, her heart heavy with sympathy. She knows what it's like to feel betrayed by someone she loved.
Dalihé: (calmly) "I know it hurts. I've been there, Syd. But you're strong. You'll get through this. Just remember that you're worth so much more than this. Justien's mistake doesn't define you."
