Delilah sat by the fire pit, her fingers nervously playing with the edges of her dress. Isahe sat beside her, glancing at her every few seconds, but she was lost in thought. The air was thick with tension as she processed everything she had heard earlier from Phobe.
"Isahe," Delilah started, her voice trembling slightly, "I need to ask you something... about Casa Amor."
Isahe turned to her with a concerned expression, already sensing the unease in her voice. "What about it, babe?"
She hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Phobe said... she said that she wants you. And that you were giving off some, like, open signals." Her voice faltered, unsure if she really wanted to hear his response.
Isahe's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Phobe said that?" He shook his head, his brows furrowed in disbelief. "Delilah, I don't know where she got that from. I swear, I was focused on you the entire time."
Delilah's gaze dropped to her lap. "But... you were there. In Casa Amor. And I... I don't know, Isahe, I just... I guess I'm worried."
Isahe reached over, gently lifting her chin so she was forced to meet his eyes. His expression softened. "Listen to me," he said, his voice low and sincere. "I only want you. I love you, and that's never going to change. No one else matters to me. It's always been you."
Delilah blinked, her heart racing as his words sank in. She could see the truth in his eyes, the certainty that had always been there whenever they were together.
"You mean that?" she whispered, almost in disbelief. "Really?"
"Delilah, I've said it before, and I'll say it again," Isahe replied, his voice unwavering. "I love you. Only you. I don't care about anyone else. It's always been you, and it will always be you."
Delilah's breath caught in her throat, and before she could stop herself, she threw her arms around him, pulling him into a tight kiss. Isahe responded immediately, his lips soft and warm against hers, and for a moment, everything around them faded into the background.
When they pulled apart, Delilah's face was flushed with emotion. "I love you too, Isahe," she said, her voice thick with feeling.
Isahe smiled, a warmth spreading through him at her words. "I love you so much."
Delilah couldn't help but smile as she looked at him, her heart overflowing with relief and happiness. "I'm so happy right now... I don't even know how to explain it." She stood up, suddenly eager to share the moment with someone. "I need to tell Sdy. She's gonna freak out!"
Isahe chuckled as she walked off, her excitement lighting up the night. He watched her for a moment before he turned his attention back to the fire, a sense of peace washing over him. He had made her feel safe, and that was all that mattered.
Delilah found Sdy sitting by the pool, her eyes scanning the sky. As soon as she saw Delilah approaching, she knew something was up. "You look... like you're about to burst. What's going on?"
Delilah couldn't contain her excitement. "Sdy, you won't believe it—Isahe just told me he loves me. Like, really loves me. He said I'm the only one he wants, and I can't even explain how happy I feel right now."
Sdy's eyes widened in genuine joy. "Oh my God, Delilah! That's amazing! You two are perfect for each other."
Delilah nodded enthusiastically, her heart still racing. "I can't even explain how relieved I feel. I was so worried, but he's just... so sure about us. I'm just... so happy."
Sdy grinned. "You deserve this, Delilah. Honestly. You've been through so much, and Isahe's such a great guy. I'm so happy for you."
"Thanks, Sdy," Delilah replied, her smile growing wider. "I just had to tell you."
Later that night, everyone began getting ready for bed. Delilah could feel her exhaustion setting in, but there was a warmth in her chest that kept her awake. She found Isahe already in their shared bed, the soft glow of the moonlight casting a peaceful light across his face.
She smiled as she walked over to him, her heart still soaring with the words they had exchanged earlier.
"Hey," she whispered, crawling into the bed beside him. "I'm so glad you're here."
Isahe turned toward her, his expression tender. "I'm glad you're here too, Delilah." He scooted over, pulling the covers back so she could settle in next to him. As she laid down, he immediately wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close against his chest.
Delilah nestled into his side, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breath. The warmth of his body, the rhythm of his heartbeat, made everything feel right. It felt like home.
"Goodnight, Isahe," she murmured softly.
"Goodnight, baby," he replied, his voice warm and comforting.
They lay there in silence for a few moments, their bodies close, and Delilah could feel the contentment settling in. She hadn't realized just how much she needed this—how much she needed to feel safe, loved, and secure in his arms.
As sleep began to take over, Delilah found herself drifting off with a smile on her face, Isahe's arm still firmly wrapped around her waist, a silent promise that everything would be okay.
And for the first time in a long time, Delilah felt like she had everything she ever needed.
