Okay so! This is my one shot 'Keeping it close" from Liam's POV! This was requested by mcapriel   So go check her stories out!

Liam's POV

I'd always known there was something different about Harry and Louis. They had this... closeness that went beyond just being friends, even though they tried hard to keep it under wraps. Being Louis's cousin, I'd spent enough time with him to notice when he was hiding something. And Harry? Well, I'd spent practically every day with him for the past few years. He was like a brother to me—I could read him like a book.

But I hadn't put all the pieces together until today.

It was supposed to be a low-key evening with the band, just catching up and relaxing before we headed back out on tour. I'd invited Louis along since he and Harry got on so well, and I figured it would be nice for him to see everyone. Louis had always been a little extra protective of me, probably because we were close as family. I never thought there might be something more between him and Harry. Not until Niall stumbled into my room, eyes wide with shock.

"Liam! Mate, you might want to have a word with Harry and... um, Louis." He scratched his head, clearly flustered. "I think they've got something they need to tell you."

I frowned, looking up from the book I'd been reading. "What are you talking about?"

Niall gave me a look that said, Go find out yourself, then hurried off, clearly not wanting to be the one to spill the beans.

Curiosity piqued, I made my way down the hall to Harry's room, where I found him and Louis looking as guilty as two kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar. They exchanged glances, obviously trying to figure out what to say.

I folded my arms, raising an eyebrow. "Is there something going on that you guys want to share?"

Harry opened his mouth, but Louis beat him to it. "Alright, Li. I'm just going to come out and say it." He paused, rubbing the back of his neck. "Harry and I... we've been together. For a while now. We didn't say anything because, well, we didn't want it to affect things with you guys, or the band."

I took a moment to process, the pieces finally clicking together. I'd suspected something like this, but it was still a bit of a shock hearing it confirmed. "So... all those times you two disappeared at family gatherings, or why you kept finding excuses to hang out with us on tour breaks—" I stopped, a grin slowly spreading across my face. "It was because you were sneaking around?"

Louis laughed, a bit sheepish. "Pretty much. Look, Li, I know it might seem strange, but I really care about him. A lot."

I turned to Harry, who nodded, looking serious for once. "I love him, Liam. I wouldn't ever do anything to hurt him—or you."

Hearing those words from Harry made everything click into place. This was more than a secret fling or a passing thing. I'd known Harry long enough to understand he didn't use the word "love" lightly.

After a long pause, I sighed, relaxing my posture. "Alright, then." I tried to sound serious, but I couldn't help the smile breaking through. "If you two are happy, then that's all that matters. But I expect you both to be honest with me from now on, alright?"

Louis let out a relieved laugh, pulling me into a tight hug. "Thanks, Li. It means a lot."

Harry joined in, giving me a playful nudge. "You know we'll make it up to you, mate."

Just then, Niall popped his head around the corner, eyes wide. "Everything okay?"

I rolled my eyes but chuckled. "Yes, Niall, everything's fine. Just... some overdue honesty."

As we all walked back to join the rest of the group, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. It wasn't every day you found out your best friend and cousin were secretly together, but seeing them so happy—and realizing they trusted me enough to finally let me in—made it all worth it.

Plus, it seemed like I might not be the only one with a secret to keep; I'd noticed Zayn and Niall exchanging more than a few glances, too. But that was a mystery for another day.

For now, I was just happy that Harry and Louis didn't have to hide anymore. They could finally be themselves—and that was all I wanted for them.
