87. Real Life

AiDi and I.N has just gotten back from dinner when Hyunjin came up to them and asked if he could talk with AiDi in private and I.N nodded.

"Sure, but don't take too long though since we have a movie to watch with the others and baby Charlie." I.N reminded them who nodded, "I'll see you in a bit then?" He asked turning to AiDi who nodded with a smile. I.N nodded before leaning down to him give a kiss on the cheek that made AiDi beam.

Once the youngest member of Stray Kids left, AiDi looked up at Hyunjin and raised a brow.

"I saw the post you made on Instagram," Hyunjin said and AiDi nodded, "don't you think it's a little fast for you to be announcing your relationship with him since none of the fans know what happened?"

"And that concerns you how?" The younger sibling of Hana asked with a brow raised and arms crossed, "weren't never really stated that we had gotten back together even though you made a post on my birthday saying that I had given you a chance—-which I did before you went and ruined it."

"I already told you I was sorry," Hyujin stated in exasperation, "that night but you kept pushing me away."

"I was hurt,Hyunjin!" AiDi replied getting upset, "do you really expect me to be okay after I watched you and Dawn together in the same room as I was with Charlie? Not to mention you let her be all over you not once stopping her from doing that."

Hyunjin ran his fingers through his hair as he stared at AiDi as AiDi said, "it was the worst feeling in the world seeing the guy that you loved smiling and laughing with someone else on my feet away from you and not once did you object. You said you didn't know it would affect me but how would you know if you didn't see the hurt I was in as I watched you and her?"

"I didn't mean for it to be like this!" Hyunjin repeated the same weird she had said back in December after being confronted by AiDi. "I thought— I thought it would be okay. We were just talking! I didn't want to cause any trouble during the holidays! Dawn is you family—"

"Family?" AiDi interrupted, his voice cutting like glass. "Is that what family does? Cross boundaries and take your partner away right in front of you?"

"I didn't see it that way," Hyunjin admitted again, guilt flooding his senses once more as he reached for AiDi's hands but the latter moved back. "I didn't think it was serious enough to... to worry over."

"How would you have felt if the roles had been reversed, Hyunjin? If you saw me being all over your cousin or friend the way you were over Dawn?" AiDi asked as he stared at the older male with tears threatening to roll over his face and Hyunjin's heart broke seeing him like that, "you would have been hurt wouldn't you? You would have wanted space and time to heal which I asked for and I'm grateful that you gave me that because over time I realized that I deserved better and I.N has been there for me from the very beginning whether it was to support me and give me advice on fixing our relationship or by showing me how to love again and over time I started developing feelings for him, feelings that I didn't know I could have again with some else after you but he showed me that I could have that."

Hyunjin reached a hand out and wiped the the line tear that had rolled free and swallowed the knot that had formed in his throat at the pain in AiDi's eyes but he could also see happiness in them again, and he knew it was because his stray kids member. I.N—he realized—always loved AiDi in a way Hyunjin never could. Ever since they had met through Hana, I.N, has been in love with AiDi and the only reason the younger male has never done anything to jeopardize his friendship with AiDi and Hyujin, was keep his feelings hidden.

"I'm really sorry for what happened," Hyujin said and AiDi took a deep breath, before nodded giving him a small smile, "you know that, don't you?"

"I know," AiDi said, "we've had this discussion already but I'm glad that we had a more in depth conversation than we did the other night after your last show in Melbourne when we had dinner at my parents house."
