Too late (Camren/Laurinah)

Present day // Senior Year October 10, 2014

It was a rainy day. A really boring rainy day. Dinah and I were at our secret spot in the library. Not many people go in the library anymore. It's mainly always me, Dinah, and Camila. But that was my problem that I wanted to share with Dinah.

Camila has no idea I'm a lesbian nor does she know how I feel. Now that this new boy Austin Mahone is at our school, he's always all over her. He ruins everything, and all my chances.

"I want to tell Camz how much of a fuckboy he is, but I can't do anything about it. And it's not like she's mine. I respect her, and if she likes him, then oh well"

"Lauren, if you love her, you best be stepping your game up!" she's the type of person to never give up. "Dinah, how am I supposed to do that? Nobody knows I'm a lesbian in this school but you"

"Straight up tell her, you'll never know if you don't try" I sighed. "I don't know.." , "It's almost lunch, tell her then"

Lunch rolled by. Camz was already at the table. Dinah and I sat down. "How was your test Camz?" she grumbled as we sat down. "I was stressing too much. I hope I passed" I put my arm on her shoulder. "You'll pass it, Camz. I know it"

"Well well well, Jauregui" a deeper voice came in and interrupted the three of us. "What do you want Mahone" Dinah and I were glaring at him. "Nothing" he stood there smirking. See. He ruins everything.

"What's going on?" Camila was confused. Well, so was Dinah and I. "Well Camilla, your buddy right here, she plays for the same team" I was gripping my hands, Dinah could see it too.

"What?" I don't know how clueless Camila could be, but it's a good thing she was. "Nothing Camz" she looked at me. "She's a lesbian" he cut me off and started laughing.

This caused most of the cafeteria to stop what they were doing and all eyes were on us. Camila looked at me with those innocent eyes. "Lauren?" I stood up aggressively and just walked away.

"What the fuck Austin!? Are you in elementary school still!?" Dinah stood up exactly how Lauren did. Austin was still laughing. I didn't find any of this funny. "What's your problem? You're so childish. What if she didn't want to be outed in front of the whole school!?" I shot back since he wouldn't stop laughing.

Dinah was ready to beat the crap out of him. But instead she walked away to look for Lauren. The same thing I should be doing too.

Yeah, I had no idea that she's into girls, and of course I will stand up for Lauren no matter what because she's a really great friend. "Why are you defending her Camilla? She's a lesbian, and haven't you heard? She's in love with you"

She's in love with me? Why do I know nothing about this?

What's wrong with him? Does he not realize he's being an asshole? "I'm defending her because she's my friend Austin. Why would you do something like that?" I stood up, just staring at him.

"I like you Camilla. You shouldn't hang around people like Lauren and Dinah" , "Why? Because they're lesbians? Because they're best friends? My name is not Camilla!" I've had enough with his shit.

"Just because they're lesbians and I hang out with them doesn't make me one too" he backed away so I went to look for Lauren and Dinah.

"Laur, please come out" I stood in front of the bathroom stall she was in. No one really goes in the bathroom because everyone says it's haunted. Bullshit. This goddamn school believes everything they hear.
