I looked up from my notebook when I heard a light knock on the door and stood up from my chair to open it.

"Hey Joong, happy birthday! I brought food!"

"Aw, thank you Yeo, but you didn't have to do that," I said as I let him inside.

"I know, but it's your birthday and you're working when you shouldn't be," He said looking at me after putting the food on the coffee table and I sighed sitting on the couch.

"Yeosang, it's okay that I'm working on my birthday. I like working and I get a lot done."

"Well, at least take a small break to eat something," He said sitting down beside me and I nodded, making him smile widely before he started getting food out for us.

Yeosang these days has been taking care of me a lot. Not that I mind at all, but it's just strange. He's never been like this before...

Yeosang's POV.

I smiled widely watching him eat as I took a bite of my own food.

I've always had a huge crush on Hongjoong, but I recently decided that I'm going to put myself out there more and try to get him to notice me.

I've given him massages when he's had a stressful day. I learned how to cook for him from Wooyoung and Mingi. I make his bed for him after he leaves and do his laundry. I've even painted his nail a few times. But it seems like nothing is working. He still doesn't notice me...

After taking another bite of his food, Yeosang reached his hand out towards the coffee table to grab a napkin at the same time as Hongjoong, making their hands touch and they immediately looked at each other with wide eyes, before chuckling.

"Sorry. You take one first," Hongjoong said smiling at him.

"No, it's your birthday. You should take one first."

"Yeosang, really it's okay. Just take one."

"Captain, I'm serious. Just take a napkin first."

Hongjoong wasn't exactly sure why, but he felt his cheeks get hot when Yeosang called him 'Captain'. Yeah, people call him Captain all the time, but for some reason, it felt different coming out of Yeosang...

Hongjoong watched as Yeosang grabbed a napkin before moving closer to him on the couch, and Yeosang wiped the corner of Hongjoong's lips, making his eyes widen as their faces were inches apart.

"Y- Yeosang," Hongjoong said making Yeosang look into his eyes with a soft smile.

"Yes?"

"You didn't have to.."

"I know, but it seemed like we were never going to stop saying who should grab the first napkin, so I did it for you."

Hongjoong nodded slowly as he looked at Yeosang's lips for a split second, but Yeosang definitely noticed and smiled more, before he backed up a bit.

When Yeosang moved, Hongjoong let out a heavy breath that he didn't know he was holding in and stood up to get a drink out of his mini fridge.

"You want a cola?" Hongjoong asked looking into the fridge and heard Yeosang hum in response before he grabbed two and went to sit back down.

Hongjoong opened Yeosang's cola for him and handed it to him, earning a 'thank you' before opening his own.

Part of Hongjoong wished that this was over already, only because he felt so awkward with Yeosang, but he didn't know why. He's always loved Yeosang. Yeosang was one of the good quiet kids, but lately he's kinda been annoying Hongjoong by always doing things for him. Like yes, it's thoughtful and super sweet, but he didn't know why it was happening all of a sudden...
