They are spending the first night at Roseanne's parents' place. It's nerve - wracking to think that her parents are just in the room next to them, probably listening to the smallest of sounds. Lisa has just taken her shower.

The end of her hair is still dripping wet when Chaeyoung pushes the door and walks in soft pink pyjamas. Blonde hair twisted in a messy bun.

"Hey," The blonde teases when Lisa looks over her shoulder. A familiar, sheepish grin is set on her face.

"Hey," Lisa says back, before fully facing the woman. "I was about to go and look for you,"

"Why?" Chaeyoung volunteers to dry Lisa's hair. She motions for the lawyer to sit down at the edge of the bed while she's on her feet, hands moving gently with the towel around Lisa's head.

"Did you miss me that much already?" The easy - going nature of the blonde makes Lisa feel completely at home.

I always miss you," She says like it's not a big deal which makes Chaeyoung blush. They share mutual silence until Chaeyoung voices her thoughts.

"Jennie is crashing here tonight because she can't find a ride home; but I guess it's only because she knew your attractive friend is crashing in the hall tonight,"

"Really?" Lisa cocks an eyebrow up. Then, when Chaeyoung is done with drying her hair, tilts her head to catch her wife's eyes. "I think your best friend likes my best friend,"

"I think so too," Chaeyoung joins Lisa on the bed. A lost strand of hair falls from her bun, and Lisa makes an effort to tuck it back behind the blonde's ear.

"Seriously, if they do take it seriously, what would you say about that? Would you give your blessing or nay?"

Chaeyoung puckers her lips as if to think of the answer. Then, she simply shrugs before meeting Lisa's eyes once again. "I would say yes," She nods her head once.

But then, her index finger hangs before her chest. "But just in case your best friend breaks my best friend, do note that I'm good with scalpel,"

Lisa lets out another frame - shaking laugh. "I guess you are forgetting the fact that Jisoo's best friend is your wife, who is never lost once in the court,"

"I do know that," Chaeyoung arches her brows cockily. "But do you seriously think you can win against me, Manoban?"

She asks, her voice raspy as tips of their noses meet halfway, her eyes piercing beyond Lisa's own and into her soul, that Lisa can't help but to feel a peculiar bubbling feeling deep down inside her chest.

"I...I...I..." The lawyer stutters. Her mouth opens and shuts comically.

"That's right," Chaeyoung pulls back snobbishly. "I guess we both know that now, don't we?" She smirks and Lisa tugs her eyebrows together in confusion.

"It's not fair," The lawyer argues as her wife stands up, her back facing Lisa as she grabs the doorknob. "You know what your eyes do to me,"

"Anything is fair in love and war," The blonde utters dramatically and Lisa has to fight the urge to smile.

"Whatever, are you coming back later?" She switches the subject and Chaeyoung turns to nod.

"Yes, I guess. I don't know. I just need to check on Jennie to make sure she doesn't go wild. You should go and have a moment with Jisoo. I think there's still some leftover beers in the fridge,"

"Sure," Lisa follows the advice. Soon after they part ways at the stairs, Lisa joins her best friend in the hall. Jisoo has already changed into a simple black tee and striped pyjamas bottoms.

She's catching a variety show when Lisa taps her on the shoulder. "Ah, my best friend," The woman quickly smirks knowingly and Lisa rolls her eyes playfully; 4 cans of beers are arranged neatly on the coffee table.

Jisoo cranes her neck over to check if there's Chaeyoung nearby, earning Lisa's glare.

"Stop that," She tells her.

"It's embarrassing," She grabs a can from the table and ignores Jisoo's blinding smirk that only grows brighter as the second passes by.

"Did you do that already?" Jisoo blurts before catching the sight of the clock next to the TV.

"Gosh, it's still too early,"

"Get your mind out of the gutter, Kim Jisoo" Lisa rests her back against the cushion. One leg swinging over the other one.

"We haven't done anything of that sort yet because we're both tired,"

"Really?" Jisoo teases. "Is that so or you're just chickening out,"

"You can ask Chaeyoung," Lisa challenges. "But of course you won't because Chaeyoung is at Jennie's room gossiping about you,"

That throws Jisoo into a pit of curiosity. Her eyebrows lower as she studies her best friend. "What did they talk about exactly?"

"No one knows," Lisa says dramatically, yelping as a punch lands on her arm. "That for being an ass," Jisoo explains before Lisa manages to ask her anything.

The Korean leans forward to snatch a can of beer and cracks it open. She takes a sip before throwing Lisa a look.

"But really, should I be worried?" Lisa chuckles, knowing Jisoo has walked inside her trap.

"I don't know, Jisoo" She says, deadpanned. "That's for you to figure it out yourself,"

"You really enjoy this don't you?" Jisoo narrows her eyes, her tone drops an inch than her regular one and Lisa smirks.

"Very much," She moves her eyes to the TV. It displays a football game she hasn't watched before. "Who's winning?"

"You're still up," Chaeyoung glances at the clock on the wall. "It's 2 in the morning," She crawls under the cover and rests on her side of the bed.

Lisa shuts her book and puts it on the nightstand. Her reading glasses are the only thing remaining.

"Yes," Her answer comes short and flat. "Because I don't think I can call it a day without setting my eyes on you," She scans Chaeyoung's face softly before a yawn escapes her throat. "I guess I'm just really sleepy,"

"You don't have to tell me," Chaeyoung scoots closer. She isn't sure where the hell did she get the courage from but it feels like the right thing to do.

Her hand rests on the side of Lisa's body; particularly her hip bone that remains hidden underneath the clothing she wears.

But still, Chaeyoung runs a circle on it a few times. Her eyes are shut as she enjoys the moment quietly.

"I guess, I can't sleep without you either," Her eyes shoot open and notice Lisa's been staring with drowsy eyes.

"That's why I'm here," She adds, a smile follows easily into the tone.

This time, it's Lisa's turn to scoot closer until there's barely a space unclaimed between them.

"Me too," She speaks, eyes literally shut and Chaeyoung wants to laugh at how adorable the lawyer looks in bed.

"If I may ask..." Chaeyoung blurts unsure but Lisa convinces her to ask away. "You always may, Chaeng. Don't limit yourself when you are with me,"

"Why did you say," Chaeyoung feels her face heating up as she speaks. "That you don't think you can't sleep without me?"

"Oh," Lisa opens her eyes and smiles sleepily. "Because," She pulls the blonde to her chest, her chin resting atop the woman's head.

"You're my wife. And I want to be needy, to be clingy with you, come what may,"

That makes Chaeyoung's heart flutter. "Oh..." The blonde reacts shyly.

"And why did you?" Lisa asks. "Why did you say what you said?"

"Because," Chaeyoung presses her face into the crook of Lisa's neck and instantly loves it. "I love you," But she doubts Lisa hears that, because what follows after that is the sound of the lawyer's soft breathing.
