A prefect had entered their compartment, telling them that they were approaching Hogwarts soon and that they had to change into their robes. The boys changed in their compartment while Hermione went to the ladies room instead.

"So what house do you think you'll be sorted into?"Ron asked when Percy shrugged on the robe.

He shrugged before saying, "I don't know. It's up to that hat, really."

Percy watched as the trees whizzed past him in a hazy blur and admired the ocean that would occasionally come into view. He squinted his sea-green eyes as he saw something in the distance.

A huge castle stood tall and proud in the distance. Percy could feel his heart hammering in his chest.

The train soon came into a half and students boarded off the vehicle.

"First years an' transfers students over 'ere!"A familiar voice boomed loudly.

Percy separated from the trio and awkwardly stood by Hagrid. "'Ello, Percy."Hagrid says happily in which Percy's reply was a quick nod of acknowledgement.

The short first years stared at him with curious looks as to why he was standing with them. Percy bared his teeth in annoyance.

"It's rude to stare, you know."He snapped.

Intimidated, the first years immediately looked away from him. He hummed in satisfaction.

Percy caught the eye of a male student who looked a year older and was a few inches taller than himself. He had dark brown hair that was styled messily and lazily making it look as if he had just got out of bed.

The boy quickly broke the eye contact. Percy tilted his head slightly, wondering who that other transfer was. But his thoughts were cut off by a scream.

The transfer boy was being lifted up by a huge, long tentacle! His scream was soon cut off by the giant squid pulling him beneath the water.

Screams erupted from every direction. Not thinking, Percy jumped into the water. He couldn't see properly since it was dark. He felt his head start throbbing.

Give him to me, Percy thought. H was surprised to actually hear a reply.

As you wish, my lord. The voice said at the back of his head.

The boy took a huge deep breath once they reached the surface of the water. "Thank you, so much."He coughed and choked.

"Hey, hey calm down. It's okay."Percy quickly placed his hands on the boy's broad shoulders.

"Lucas."The boy said.

"What?"

"My name. It's Lucas Layton, but you can call me Luke."

"Well, Lucas Layton, but you can call me Luke, my name is Percy Jackson."
