Third person's pov

Emma used to be a perfect extrovert and badass girl from the very start who used to protect her little sister Olivia from bullies. She was never the one to be bullied nor the one to bully others. She always minds her own business but never backs off to offer help to others. Her strong personality made others jealous and envious of her. A lot of guys had a crush on her and wanted to have her, but she never gave a damn about it and that really pissed the egoistic dudes in her high school so they back bitch about her and tagged her as a 'bitch'.

Emma never felt that fluttering feeling that she wanted to feel from the very start and no one made her feel like it. She wanted to see love and adoration for her in someone's eyes but all she got to see is lust and want for her, until one spring day.

Emma had a very bad day, because one girl accused her of being an attention seeker because apparently the girl's crush has a crush on her.

“You are an attention seeker bitch. Trying to steal away another guy!” The girl yells. Emma rolls her eyes and looks at the girl with disgust.

“Get out of my way.” Emma says, but the girl grips her wrist and that takes away the last bit of patience Emma had. She grabbed the girl's wrist that was holding her and twisted it behind her back. The girl winced in pain and Emma took a fistful of her hair with her other hand. “Just stay the fuck away from me, and beg your crush instead to make him accept you. It's not my damn problem.” Emma grits out pushing the girl harshly and walks away not looking back, ignoring her curses.

“Stupid bitches always come in my way. Can't just let me live in peace.” She mutters to herself, walking out of the corridor looking down.

She didn't realise when she hit something with a force causing her to stumble back. She saw a tall guy crouched down picking up his stuff that fell away from his hands. The guy had a mask on and dark hair, he was looking down busy in picking up his things. Emma feels bad for colliding with the guy so she crouches down and picks up a beautiful pen that looks custom made. The guy reaches out for the pen at the same time and their fingers brush together making her feel strange.

And that's the exact moment the guy looks up and Emma sees the most beautiful pair of eyes that she has never seen. And that's the only thing visible because his rest of the face is covered with a black mask, still it doesn't take a genius to know that the guy is ridiculously handsome. Emma mumbles a ‘sorry’ and the guy just responds with a nod, bringing his hand forward. Emma smiles and shakes his hand, the guy widens his eyes looking at their joined hands. He withdraws his hand and points at the pen. Emma realises that he was asking for the pen, she let out an awkward laugh. She looks at the pen, there's a capital ‘I.C’ engraved in it. She hands over the pen and the guy's eyes crinkle a bit, which means he's smiling. He takes the pen and nods, leaving from there.

Emma replayed that moment the whole day. The fact amazed her that how many expressions his eyes held that others whole face can't. Something about those eyes was special. So special. And she saw many emotions in those eyes that she can't exactly figure out. Emma started seeing the guy with his mask on often, sometimes studying in the library, sometimes walking around the hallway and sometimes near the washroom. He was always alone and the mask was always there like a part of his body. It was purely coincidental. Of course Emma wanted to see him again but she didn't stalk or pester him, it was as fate is involved here. But they never talked nor did Emma approach him because he's always in his own world.

Months passed and Emma didn't get to see him, not even a single glimpse of him. Not even after strolling through the whole campus. She didn't know his class nor his name so it was next to impossible to find him.
