Thank you guys for choosing to read my story. If you have read a fic that is similar, I promise I did not steal it. I am currently rewriting a story I wrote almost five years ago. The story line is changing a little, as the first time I wrote this I did not do any pre-writing the first time around. All of my chapters will include word counts as that is something that I have found very helpful when other writers do it. It has helped me discover what chapter length I like in my fics. Pls read the A/N at the bottom, because I ask little questions and love to hear your answers. Also, if you are interested in becoming a beta reader for me specifically for this fic please private message me. ENJOY!

Neville knocked on the door to Harry's rooms. He could hear Harry, rustling about inside. He heard what sounded like one of his limbs banging on a piece of furniture inside, then a muffled groan. The door opened to a exhausted looking Harry Potter with his finger to his lips.

"Sssssshhhhhhh. I just got Teddy to go to sleep. He has been up since breakfast," Harry whispered. The apartment style dorm looked like a disaster, onesies, bibs, pacifiers, and abandoned bottles adorned almost every surface in the kitchen/dining room area. Harry looked beyond exhausted, in his stained sweatshirt and shorts.

"Dude, you look terrible," Neville responded, following him inside.

"I feel terrible. I have had Teddy for a month and I am already exhausted. He just doesn't seem to want to sleep no matter what I do," the man groaned, dropping himself onto the couch, and putting his head in his hands. Neville felt terrible for his friend, he had given up everything to protect the entire wizarding world, yet here he was, alone, and raising a child at the ripe old age of 18.

"Harry, you really need to let people help you more. I would love to hang out with teddy for a little while so you can get some time off of godparent duty."

"You already do so much for me, picking up my groceries, just dropping by to hang out, and you have to balance your own life too. I appreciate everything you and McGonagall do, and I don't want you to overload yourself by doing more, but to be brutally honest, it isn't enough." Neville had been there from the very start, helping him change diapers, and just learn to be a parent. It had taken two weeks to accept the help Minerva (as she insisted the 8th years called her outside of class).

"Everyone here will help if you finally allow them to. You don't always have to be the savior, you can let others save you sometimes." Harry looked up at the man. Neville's eyes were soft and kind as he looked at his friend. "But, that is not what I came here to talk about. Minerva wants to speak with you in her office. She offered for you to bring Teddy, but since he is napping, I can stay here with him while you go."

"You are the best Neville," the man said, standing to summon his cloak and wand, without the aforementioned wand. "Did she say what it was about?"

Neville just stared at him.

"What?" Harry asked.

"It will never not be astonishing that you can do that," he concluded.

"If I'm honest, it is not that hard to do once you figure out how. It mostly just takes a lot of practice. Our magic comes from us, the wand just simplifies casting, makes it less personal if you add the outside elements within the wand. And that way, every witch and wizard can use the same spell and casting maneuver rather than having to be more self aware and create one for each spell like you have to when casting wandlessly," Harry supplied. "I could probably teach you how."

"That would be awesome Harry! Does Minerva know that you can cast wandlessly?" Neville questioned.

"I guess I have never thought of mentioning it," he supplied.
