Hai guys! I'm sorry for the wait! How long has it been since I updates this story last? A month? Longer? Anyways, I've gotten a few comments about there not being enough NicoXReader fluff, so I'll try to add some more of that in chapters ahead. So, with that being said, Enjoy the long awaited chappie!

A few hours later, around nine-thirty in the morning, (Y/N) confronted me about what we should do for KJ's birthday.
"Come on, she's one of my best friends!" she pleaded, looking at me with big (e/c) puppy dog eyes. "I wanna do something special for her!"
I rubbed the back of my neck. "I dunno, (Y/N), I'm not really good with birthdays. What do you want to?"
"A surprise party!" She cheered, smiling at me.
"Uh, are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, she's the daughter if the chaos goddess. She might attack us for surprising her because she might think we're the enemy."
(Y/N) just tsked at me. "You're such a pessimist, you know that?"
"Son of Hades, remember?" I crossed my arms and sighed. "Well, then, surprise party it is. I'd assume the entire camp is coming?"
"Mmhm! But we'll throw the party during the campfire. Knowing KJ, she'd want something simple." She took out a little notepad and pencil out of her pocket and started writing. "Now we just need to tell Chiron about the party. He usually gets the Party Ponies to set up for birthdays, so that cuts out a lot of the work for us. So now we just need to get her a gift, and we should be all set. "
I looked at her quizzically. "A gift. Where are we going to get a gift?"
"At the mall, silly!" (Y/N) giggled and flipped to a page in her notepad. "This is a list of things she wants. Not a whole lot of stuff, but still."
"Have you been permitted to leave the camp?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Why would I need to be? You come and go all the time, don't you?"
I smacked myself mentally. "That's right. Shadow-travel." I waved her over to stand beside me. "Now, you need to hold onto my hand, and I suggest you don't let go. Otherwise-" When I realized what I was saying, I blushed, and so did she. I grabbed her hand, and thought of the mall downtown, and in a flurry of shadow, we were gone.
