Episode 11

The morning sunlight filtered through the kitchen window as Mrs. Jeon busied herself preparing breakfast. Jimin stood by her side, helping her with the final touches. She smiled warmly at him.

Mr Jeon: "Jimin, thank you for helping me make breakfast,"

Just then, Taehyung appeared in the doorway, breathing heavily, his hair slightly dishevelled. Jimin turned to look at him with concern.

Jimin: *brows furrowed* "Taehyung, are you alright?"

Tae: *nodded* "Yeah, yeah... I'm fine,"

Mrs. Jeon noticed him and greeted him with a motherly smile. "Good morning, Taehyung, my son."

Tae: *bowed* "Good morning,"

Mrs Jeon: "Come, have some breakfast,"

As they all began to gather around, Suga and Jungkook entered the kitchen as well, taking their seats. Mrs. Jeon, always thoughtful, spoke up again.

Mrs Jeon: "So, have you two decided where you’ll go for your honeymoon?"
she asked, her gaze shifting between Jungkook and Taehyung.

Suga, always quick to encourage a decision, chimed in.
Jungkook: "Yeah, Jungkook, you should tell us first."

Jungkook leaned back slightly, his gaze falling on Taehyung.
Jungkook: "I think Taehyung should decide where to go. We can plan around his mood," Jungkook said, his tone playful but with an edge. Taehyung could sense the subtle taunt in his voice.

Tae: *stammered* "I... I think, Mom, you should suggest a place for us,"

Mrs Jeon: "No, my son, it’s your honeymoon. You should decide."

Jimin, sensing the rising indecision, smiled at Mrs. Jeon.

Jimin: "Please, Mom, otherwise no one will ever decide at this rate,"

Mrs. Jeon: "Well, how about Paris or Venice?"

Jimin: *eyes widened* "Both sound amazing..."

Suga: "Wow, either one would be perfect."

Jungkook: "Good choice,"
He said, his earlier teasing tone replaced with sincerity.

Taehyung, still feeling a bit unsure, simply hummed in response.
Tae: "Hmm..."

Mrs. Jeon clapped her hands together.
Mr Jeon: "Then it’s settled! Start packing your luggage!"

Suga: "We’ll go to Paris first. I'll book the tickets, and I’ll let you know the details later."

Taehyung: "I have my final exams at university. I... I can't go, but after the exams, we can decide."

Jimin: "Oh, we forgot..."

Mr Jeon: "Yes, studies are important. Namjoon told me about your exams. Alright then, it's settled, Suga and Jimin will go to Paris for their honeymoon, and Mrs. Jeon and I will head back to London."

Taehyung: "Why, Appa?"

Mr Jeon: "Business is getting tough, and with Suga and Jungkook away, I need to manage it carefully."

Jungkook: "Thank you, Dad. You’re the best."

Mr Jeon: "Spend your time together.

Mrs. Jeon: "Namjoon called us for dinner tonight. It’ll be a family dinner, so get ready."

---

The house was buzzing with activity as everyone prepared for the family dinner. Taehyung, standing in front of the mirror, adjusted his outfit. He looked as stunning as ever, his appearance effortlessly elegant.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment before approaching him. His voice was soft, almost uncertain.

Jungkook: "I... I'm sorry. I should've asked you before..." Jungkook began, his words trailing off as he struggled to express himself.

Taehyung, sensing the tension, quickly interrupted.
Tae: "It's alright,"
*not wanting to dwell on the conversation*

Jungkook looked at him, a plea in his eyes. Jungkook: "Can we talk for a moment, please?"

Taehyung glanced at the clock, a hint of urgency in his voice.
Tae: "We're getting late,"
he replied, his focus shifting back to the evening ahead.

--

They all went to dinner, where Namjoon and Jin welcomed them warmly.

After dinner, Taehyung went to his room to collect his books. Namjoon followed him.

Namjoon: *softly* "Taehyung, baby..."

Taehyung froze, his hands stopping mid-action. He didn’t move, and tears began to fall. Namjoon came closer, gently caressing his hair.

Namjoon: *whispered* "I'm sorry, my son... for slapping you,"

Taehyung turned around and hugged him tightly, crying into his chest.

Namjoon: "Shhh... You're my brave son, my pride. Don’t be sad,"

Tae: *sobbed* "Appa... I'm sorry. I hurt you... I hurt everyone..."

Namjoon: "Everything will be alright soon," Jungkook is perfect for you."

Taehyung looked into Namjoon’s eyes, searching for answers.

Namjoon: "You’re not happy with my decision right now, But one day, you’ll see ‘My father chose the best for me.’"

Tae: "I don’t know him, and I don’t love him..." Taehyung confessed, his voice trembling.

Namjoon: "Jungkook loves you; I’m not asking you to love him back right away but build a relationship of trust. I know you can do that. He is your future."

Tae: "I’ll try, Appa..."

Namjoon: "I know you will," *with a reassuring smile*

They all returned from dinner together.

---

Taehyung buried himself in his books, the words blurring as he forced himself to concentrate. He could feel Jungkook’s eyes on him, a quiet intensity that made his skin prickle, but he didn’t dare look up. He couldn’t handle the questions in Jungkook’s gaze, the silent curiosity that seemed to demand answers he wasn’t ready to give.

After a moment, he sensed Jungkook move. There was the soft scrape of a chair and the sound of his footsteps retreating into the kitchen, and Taehyung exhaled in relief. He kept his eyes glued to his notes, but his concentration had broken, replaced by the faint sound of Jungkook moving around, the clink of a coffee mug, the gentle hiss of the kettle.

When Jungkook reappeared, he was holding two mugs. Without a word, he placed one on the table next to Taehyung, sat down on the couch with his coffee and opened his laptop. The smell of coffee drifted up, rich and warm, tempting. Taehyung's gaze drifted to the steaming mug, and then to Jungkook’s face. For a moment, their eyes met, and a silent exchange passed between them, unspoken yet understood.

Taehyung wanted to say something—to thank him, maybe, or to make a small comment—but his voice caught in his throat. Instead, he looked away, leaving the coffee untouched as if that might keep his walls up. Inside, though, he was screaming for it, the warmth, the gesture, the connection.

Jungkook didn’t push. He simply sipped his coffee and focused on his screen, letting the quiet hang between them, as calm and as constant as a heartbeat.
