Episode 10
Mrs. Jeon looked around the room with a warm smile, her eyes glistening with pride and happiness.

Mrs Jeon: "I’m so happy today, Finally, both of my sons are settled down, just as I had always dreamed."

She glanced lovingly at her sons.
Mrs Jeon: *she pointed gently toward them* "Both of you, take care of each other and your partners. Make sure they always feel loved and valued."

Mr Jeon: *Turning to Suga and Jungkook* "Now, why don’t you show them to their rooms? Make them feel comfortable."

Taehyung and Jungkook entered the room quietly, a hint of tension hanging between them. Taehyung moved to the bed and sat down, his gaze distant. Jungkook noticed and walked over, hesitating before speaking.

Jungkook: "Taehyung, I…"
He began, but Taehyung cut him off.

Tae: "I’m tired. I’m going to sleep."
His voice was firm, leaving no room for conversation.

Jungkook: *paused and nodded* "Yeah, alright. We’ll talk tomorrow."

Without another word, Taehyung got up, changed into his nightclothes, and climbed back into bed, pulling the duvet over himself and closing his eyes. Jungkook watched him, wanting to say more but holding back. He changed into his own sleepwear and lay down beside him, his mind unsettled.

A few hours passed in silence, the room dark and still. Suddenly, Jungkook woke to the sound of soft sobs echoing through the room. He sat up, squinting in the darkness, trying to locate Taehyung. His heart sank as he realized the sobs were coming from him.

Jungkook: "Taehyung…"
He whispered, reaching out but finding only emptiness. Quickly, he turned on the lights, his eyes adjusting to see Taehyung standing near the window, shoulders shaking.

Jungkook approached him slowly, his voice soft with concern.
Jungkook: "Taehyung, what’s wrong?"

But Taehyung just stood there, tears streaming down his face, silent and inconsolable. His heart ached at the sight.

Jungkook: "Are you missing your parents? We can visit them in the morning if you’d like."

Taehyung looked up, his tear-filled eyes meeting Jungkook’s, and the sadness there only seemed to deepen, his tears falling even faster.

Jungkook: "You can tell me… as a friend," Jungkook said, his voice barely a whisper.

Taehyung remained silent, his tears falling like a steady rain, his pain too deep for words.

Jungkook tried again, his tone more desperate now.
Jungkook: "Okay, maybe not as a friend, but as someone who cares about you. I can’t stand seeing you cry like this. Please, talk to me."

But Taehyung didn’t respond. He turned slowly, retreating to the bed, and wrapped himself in the duvet, as though shutting out the world, including Jungkook.

Jungkook stood there, watching him, helpless and hurt.
Jungkook: "Taehyung, are you unhappy with this marriage? Did your parents force you into this?"

Taehyung’s muffled voice came from under the covers.
Tae: "Can you stop talking? I’m trying to sleep."

A pang of sadness struck Jungkook, but he forced a gentle smile.
Jungkook: "Alright… alright. You sleep."

With a heavy heart, he walked out to the balcony, needing fresh air to clear his mind.
He took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, the smoke curling into the night air as he stood there, deep in thought. He wasn’t accustomed to smoking, but tonight, he needed something to help make sense of Taehyung’s behaviour.

As he exhaled, Jungkook stared into the darkness, his mind filled with unanswered questions, wondering what pain Taehyung was carrying alone.

At Morning

Taehyung was the first to wake up, quietly slipping out of bed to get ready. Mrs. Jeon had called them down for breakfast, and he didn’t want to keep her waiting. He chose a light blue shirt and matching pants, the colour soft and calming against his skin, making him look effortlessly elegant.

As he adjusted his collar in front of the mirror, Jungkook’s gaze lingered on him from across the room. He couldn’t help but stare, captivated by Taehyung’s presence. He wanted to reach out, to wrap his arms around him, and to press gentle kisses along his neck and jawline. But something held him back, the memory of Taehyung’s tears from the night before, and the confusion still lingering in his mind.

Just as Taehyung was about to open the door, Jungkook spoke up, his voice a quiet plea. Jungkook: "Taehyung… don’t go."

Tae: *puzzled* "Why?"

Jungkook rose slowly, walking toward him with hesitant steps. Seeing him approach, Taehyung took a step back, only to find himself pressed against the door. His breath caught as Jungkook came closer, the intensity in his eyes both comforting and overwhelming.

Jungkook: *murmured* "Don’t go…"

Tae: "W-why…?"

Jungkook: "Don’t go without me. We should go down together. It’s… like a tradition."

Taehyung: *a small nod* "Al… alright…"

Jungkook leaned in, his breath brushing against Taehyung’s earlobe, sending a tickling warmth through him.
Jungkook: *whispered* "You look gorgeous. Can I…?"

Jungkook’s face inched closer, his eyes drifting to Taehyung’s lips, intent and gentle. But just as he was about to close the distance, Taehyung’s eyes widened, and he abruptly pushed Jungkook back, breaking the moment.

Jungkook: "Don’t… don’t ever try to touch me."

Without waiting for a response, he pulled open the door and hurried out, leaving Jungkook standing there, stunned. A mix of shock and hurt washed over him, settling heavily in his chest. He took a deep breath, trying to shake off the moment, then turned and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

Once dressed, Jungkook made his way to the dining hall, where his parents and Yoongi were already gathered. Yet, his mind kept drifting back to Taehyung, replaying the scene in his head, wondering what it was that made him pull away so quickly.
