We made our way towards the City of Bones with both the vampires and werewolves. As we were walking, I inspected the whereabouts and took note that this does not look like the City of Bones we went to before.

"This does not look like the City of Bones." Ckary said, and I nodded my head, agreeing with her. "This is the Downworlders entrance." Jace explained.

"The City of Bones has a service entrance. Perfect." I said sarcastically. "I hope i have better luck here than I did last time." Simon said, and I wrapped my arms around him. A gesture indicating that he will.

We all stopped walking, and I looked at everyone. "Everyone knows what to do?" Clary asked, and everyone nodded their head. "Text when you're in position." Jace said, and Luke started walking forward first, but Raphael being Raphael, he whistled, making Luke stop in his tracks.

"Stay. Good dog." He said.

"Bite me." Luke countered.

"Roll over." Raphael tried again.

"Play dead." Luke countered back again, and I just laughed while Simon said, "Boom!" Luke fist bumped both of us and continued walking, but one of his pack members shaved Simon on the shoulder, and that cause Raphael and his clan to attempt to attack the guy. Both started hissing and growling, and I had enough, so I raised both my palms up and used my power to separate them forcefully.

"Knock it off, guys! All our lives are at stake! It's time we put our differences aside and work together." I said, seriously, while looking at the Pack and Vamps.

"Tonight we're all Downworlders. Luke?" Clary said and turned towards him. He nodded, his head still glaring at Raphael. "Raphael?" I called out his name, and he just nodded his head and walked away with his clan hot on his back.

"I guess I should expect people to hate me for who I am now. I'll get used to it." Simon said, looking so defeated. I've never seen Simon like that before. I would know because we've been best friends since forever. So seeing him like this pains me.

Holding both his shoulders, I made him turn his body to look at me. "Never get used to it. You hear me? You may be a vampire now, but you're still Simon. My Simon. You're the same Simon who protected me from my bullies, who took care of me like a brother. You're still the same. I don't care if you're a downworlder now. You're still the same Simon I know. Got it?" I said, holding back my tears and going in to hug him cause I know he needs it.

We pulled apart and smiled at each other, knowing full well that if one of us got hurt, we would have each other to back each other up.
"Now, let's do this. Together." I encouraged, and he nodded his head. I took his hand, and we headed to our position together. I am not going to let Simon be in this, alone. Isabelle caught up with me, and I smiled at her, assuring her that everything would turn out fine.

I'm with the Vampire team, so of course, Raphael will be here. The guy may be cold, but I'm gonna have to tolerate his attitude for a bit. Only for today.

"So what are we thinking? A little encanto action?" Simon asked, curious of the plan and needless to say, so am I.

"I heard there's a rune for that, S." I said, not certain, but when Izzy nodded to confirm, i was right. I was right. "Right, of course there is." Simon mumbled out, and I nudged him on the shoulder jokingly. He grinned at me, and I rolled my eyes.
Yep, he's still our goofy Simon.

"Just watch and learn from the master." Raphael said, and I rolled my eyes. "Master of what? Darkness?" I joked, Simon snorted, and fist bumped me. I felt Raphael glared at me, but I ignored him and continued walking. I looked around and saw everyone was in place and not in harms way. The werewolves were now in position on top of the shipping containers in their Wolf form, ready to attack as ordered. Well, ambush.
