prologue
colette pearl was a pouge her whole life. she lost her mom when she was ten and lived alone with her partially absent, alcoholic and abusive father. she felt so alone until she met john b routledge and jj maybank in grade five. she spent everyday with them and soon pope heyward and kiara carrera too. colette spends most of her time at the chateau and usually tries to only go to her house when her dad is supposed to be working but when he gets to drunk and doesn't go, she isn't aware and runs into him.
last summer, at a party, colette and jj had gotten drunk and spent all night talking and they kissed. neither one of them remembered much of that night, but they both remember the kiss. they never brought it up but since then colette has felt something towards jj but she never said anything because she doesn't want to ruin their friendship. everyone knows that the two of them are inseparable and it's very clear to everyone else but them that they like each other.
this book will have some twists and some things will be different from the actual show so please don't get mad if it's not identical
